Politically Left Leaning Cities Are “Shitholes” (John Stossel)

Parts of San Francisco resemble the poorest slums in the world — even though the city is one of the richest in America.

  • “There is more feces on the sidewalks than I’ve ever seen growing up here,” San Francisco Mayor London Breed told KNTV. “That is a huge problem and we are not just talking about from dogs — we’re talking about from humans.” (DAILY CALLER)

UPDATE

“It’s A Literal Shithole” – San Fran Sees Over 16,000 ‘Feces Complaints’ In One Week

website and related app that allows local residents to request maintenance or non-emergency services from the city has received 16,034 complaints with the keyword ‘feces’ in the last week at the time of this writing, and many pertain to human waste in public places.

The point is, here, that when a city becomes very Left leaning in it’s culture and years run (city council, mayors, etc.), it becomes a “shithole” city. LITERALLY.

  • “The city suffers from an excess of [human] excrement on public streets and even in the innards of subway escalators, where it renders them unusable.” (FAST COMPANY)

SAN FRANSICO GATE’S paper (online) had an interesting article:

HotPads  used “reports made to 311 in San Francisco from DataSF,” mapping 4,000 data points (a.k.a. poop sites) from January to June 2013.” Mapping S.F.’s most pooped-upon neighborhoods–and their paradoxically pricey real estate

Most of us might guess this list, but in case we need confirmation, the top 3 poopy neighborhoods are:

  • The Tenderloin
  • Mission District – 16th Street BART Station
  • South of Market

But prices therein do not reflect the frequency of feces. Witness:

The “Loin”

Poop strewn though it may be, the Tenderloin has enjoyed some new-found glory (and inflated home/rent prices) in the recent past, thanks to a tech surge led primarily by Twitter anchoring itself in that area. See Redfin’s data at right.

For instance, there is this home, in the heart of it all on O’Farrell: the price tag, given the location—despite its obvious ostentatious glory—should raise an eyebrow. $3,950,000 with HOA dues at $4,299/mo. It’s been on the market almost a year.

[…..]

South of Market

Of all of these pooped-upon neighborhoods, SoMa has increased in value the most dramatically, thanks to a combination of new construction, UC Mission Bay, and the aforementioned tech boom in the city. Again per Redfin, “The asking price of homes for sale in SoMa has increased 96% since December last year, while the number of homes for sale has increased 83.3%.”

Here’s a choice example: for $4,300,000 and HOA dues of $1,949 per month, buyers can snap up this 4-bed, 4-bath loft conversion on Jessie, nicely situated near Blue Bottle Coffee, and likely, plenty of feces. [editor’s note: every architects dream]

RED ALERT POLITICS notes:

When technology and (lack of) toilets collide.

A web developer named Jennifer Wong created interactive maps entitled “(Human) Wasteland” that illustrate the concentrations of human excrement in San Francisco, as reports Reuters.

The maps are intended to shed light on the amount of individuals living homeless in San Francisco. Wong created the maps using a city database that organizes telephone complaints to the Department of Public Works about human poop and urine….

Seattle as well has companies moving due to the feces/urine soaked business areas.

….But she says perception is sometimes the reality to clients. The drive to get to her parking space is often trashed, where people have also used the bathroom, and she says the homeless on the street make for an uncomfortable arrival for her clients.

So she’s considering not renewing her lease and moving elsewhere.

“Who wants to come to a place where there’s litter on the streets, the bouquet of urine is in the air, I mean it will eventually take a toll,” she said….

One commentator said this of a story reported on the issue:

  • Finally an example of a run down, shot-up, burned out, poverty-stricken, urine-soaked, rat-infested, crime-ridden, feces-friendly city run by democRATS actually delivering on their promise of Free Shit!!

Another story from KGW.com (NBC Portland) notes:

Survey: 34% of Portlanders considered leaving because of homelessness

….The average Portlander sees someone living in a tent and someone panhandling five times a week. Residents said they see drug paraphernalia and human waste or urine more than twice a week….

Los Angeles, etc. It is all the same story. Many of these places pass out free, sterile, needles to the drug addicted… offer food and comfort, and a “no harass” policy for the police. Then they raise the taxes to grow these services on the businesses affected by them.

Here is an update via HOT AIR:

How dirty is San Francisco? An NBC Bay Area Investigation reveals a dangerous mix of drug needles, garbage, and feces throughout downtown San Francisco. The Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of the city – the more than 20-mile stretch includes popular tourist spots like Union Square and major hotel chains. The area – bordered by Van Ness Avenue, Market Street, Post Street and Grant Avenue – is also home to City Hall, schools, playgrounds, and a police station. …

The Investigate [sic] Unit spent three days assessing conditions on the streets of downtown San Francisco and discovered trash on each of the 153 blocks surveyed. While some streets were littered with items as small as a candy wrapper, the vast majority of trash found included large heaps of garbage, food, and discarded junk. The investigation also found 100 drug needles and more than 300 piles of feces throughout downtown.

Democrats Weaponize the IRS… Again

Dr. John Eastman was on Larry Elder’s show discussing the Democrats wanting Trump’s tax returns. Much like Mitch McConnell warning about “shoes on other’s feet,” the Democrats should tread lightly… because IF this passes Constitutional muster, Trump can order tax returns to be released as well. Good insights from the professor as usual.

Are Hate-Crimes Worse In Trump’s America?

This is the full version of Bob Frantz (TWITTER) and Peter Kirsanow discussing Peter’s article in NATIONAL REVIEW: “The Hate Crimes in Trump’s America Narrative“. The evidence shows “hate-crimes” were worse before Trump came into office. What I am sure has risen are faux-hate-crimes. The shorter clip of this and some stats (JUST THE FACTS MAM) can be found here below.

JUST THE FACTS MAM:

A few facts:

  • Over the last decade the number of hate crimes has fluctuated between approximately 5,600 and 7,800 per year.
  • There were 7,615 total hate crimes reported in “Trump’s America” in 2017. Ten years earlier, when the U.S. population was 25 million less and far fewer agencies were reporting hate crimes, the number was nearly the same: 7,624. In 2006 (ten years before Trump’s America began) there were 9,652 hate crimes.
  • Hate crimes reported aren’t the same thing as hate crimes confirmed. Many hate crime reports are based on a victim’s perception of the reason for the crime. If a criminal uses a slur during a robbery he would’ve committed anyway, it may end up being reported as a hate crime.
  • There are more hate-crime statutes and ordinances today than there were just a few years ago and far more law-enforcement personnel have been trained to report hate crimes. Just a short time ago, if a white guy hit a black guy it would have been classified as aggravated assault, whereas today that same act is more likely to be classified as a hate crime.
  • There were over 1,000 more hate crimes reported in 2017 than in 2016. Journalist Robby Soave, who testified at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights 2018 Hate Crimes Hearing, notes that the 2017 increase likely is the result of 1,000 more agencies beginning to report hate crimes in 2017 than reported in 2016.
  • Nearly 90 percent of police departments reported zero hate crimes in 2017. As portrayed by mainstream media, hate crimes generally consist of violent thugs beating, say, an outnumbered Jussie Smollett. In reality, hate crimes are more likely to consist of graffiti and vandalism.
  • If Trump’s “divisive rhetoric” is spurring hate crimes, it’s doing so in counterintuitive fashion: blacks are approximately 200 percent more likely to commit hate crimes than whites.
  • Without diminishing hate (or any other) crimes, perspective is in order. Hate crimes are a vanishingly small portion of total crime. For example, a total of 1,231,566 murders, rapes, aggravated assaults, and robberies occurred in 2015. 821, or .00067, were classified as hate crimes. That’s for an entire year. An average of 550 Americans are struck by lightning per year, most of which strikes occur during just half the year. Even in Trump’s America….

(NATIONAL REVIEW)

No Speaker, A Democratic President Could Not Do That

Nancy Pelosi is a goof. This is what she said:

“Let’s talk about today: The one-year anniversary of another manifestation of the epidemic of gun violence in America,” Pelosi said. “That’s a national emergency. Why don’t you declare that emergency, Mr. President? I wish you would.

“But a Democratic president can do that.”

(THE HILL)

No, no he or she cannot do that Mrs. Pelosi.

Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution requires the President to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.” This clause, known as the Take Care Clause, requires the President to enforce all constitutionally valid Acts of Congress, regardless of his own Administration’s view of their wisdom or policy. The clause imposes a duty on the President; it does not confer a discretionary power. The Take Care Clause is a limit on the Vesting Clause’s grant to the President of “the executive power.”

The United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, in an opinion handed down just last year striking down the President’s assertion of authority to disregard a federal statute, provided a succinct description of the President’s obligations under the Take Care Clause, as follows:

Under Article II of the Constitution and relevant Supreme Court precedents, the President must follow statutory mandates so long as there is appropriated money available and the President has no constitutional objection to the statute. So, too, the President must abide by statutory prohibitions unless the President has a CONSTITUTIONAL OBJECTION to the prohibition. If the President has a constitutional objection to a statutory mandate or prohibition, the President may decline to follow the law unless and until a final Court order dictates otherwise. But the President may not decline to follow a statutory mandate or prohibition simply because of policy objections. Of course, if Congress appropriates no money for a statutorily mandated program, the Executive obviously cannot move forward. But absent a lack of funds or a claim of unconstitutionality that has not been rejected by final Court order, the Executive must abide by statutory mandates and prohibitions.

(HERITAGE FOUNDATION)

There is both a positive and negative aspect to this part of the Constitution. In other words, a President cannot declare an emergency that violates the 2nd Amendment. (I can’t believe a high school drop out 3-time felon has to point that out to the Speaker of the House.)

RBG Watch – M.I.A.

AMERICAN THINKER notes the following in their larger article:

The last time she was seen was on December 6, 2018, when she heard arguments in person at the Court.  Since then, she underwent surgery on December 21 of last year after two cancerous growths from her left lung were discovered and removed.

[….]

Adding even more fuel to the speculation, Fox & Friends “accidentally” showed a memorial graphic that claimed that Ginsburg is dead.  The show apologized shortly after and blamed it on a “control room error,” but it’s worth noting that the graphic even being made and loaded is a disturbing, macabre preparation.

She was scheduled to attend a function called “An Evening with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg” in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening at the Skirball Cultural Center, but the event was “regrettably canceled” because she is still recuperating from her recent surgery.  A second engagement on February 6 with her and philanthropist David Rubenstein in New York City was also canceled….

Another site notes she will not be at the February 5th State of the Union Speech.

I want to make a couple points. FIRST, if this was being done for or by a conservative Justice, all hell would break loose. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, NYT, Chicago Tribune, L.A. Times, BBC, etc, etc, etc — would be running round the clock “watches” and demanding a replacement. Yes, the MSM would be demanding a replacement. Why? They are essentially Democrats.

SECOND, remember CNN and other news outlets with a “1st Lady Watch” I think a Justice hearing cases is a bit more important to the American Body Politic, where is Brian Seltzer’s running tally?

Maybe the folks at CNN think Trump is so horrible, he murdered her? So, I made my own “Calendar Watch” for RBG. The GREEN check-mark was the last time she was in Court listening to arguments. The BLACK check-mark was the date of her operation. The RED check-marks are days she has not been seen. As of today, she has missed Court for 59-days.

Is Trump “At Odds” With The Intelligence Community?

Larry Elder exemplifies the current media bias that encapsulates President Trump supposedly “at odds” with his intelligence community. FIRST, this just is not the case. SECONDLY, “The Sage” adeptly points out that if we were to quantify a recent President being “at odds” with his advisers and intel “community,” President Obama fits the bill perfectly. However, you would never know it because the media was deathly silent. As always, there is information you can take right into real conversations. Enjoy. (See more at FOX NEWS SPECIAL REPORT)

No There, There (Andrew McCarthy)

I chose not to have the entire McCarthy interview by Sean Hannity. I have audio by him already, saying mostly the same stuff. HOWEVER, I did want to upload these two short responses by him to Hannity. Andrew McCarthy really zeros in on the center of the issue — “it didn’t happen.”

The Russian Connection; and FBI/DOJ Goes Rogue (UPDATED)

BOOM! Remember that Russian lawyer that had the meeting in the Trump Tower? Natalia Veselnitskaya? Well, much like Mark Levin and Dan Bongino have been saying (with examples), much of the people involved in this drama are in fact “conveniently” at the right places at the right time. Like Joseph Mifsud, Alexander Downer, and Stefan Halper around Papadopoulos (SPYGATE via BONGINO). So too do we see Natalia Veselnitskaya being inserted into the story with prior contacts with FUSION-GPS AND THE FBI. Here is the latest on this spy novel via SEBASTIAN GORKA and SARA CARTER.

Here is a portion from THE HILL that is relevant:

HERE’S ANOTHER ONE. The New York Times — which considers itself a bastion of journalism but whose work of late was questioned by its former editor — wrote a story this week on the federal obstruction-of-justice indictment of Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.

The Times connected the indictment’s information about Veselnitskaya’s ties to the Kremlin and her role in a now infamous June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with the president’s son, Donald Jr., and then-Trump presidential campaign manager Paul Manafort.

What the Times omitted, however, was that Veselnitskaya also was working at the same time with Glenn Simpson and Fusion GPS, the opposition-research firm that hired Steele to produce his dossier on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

If Veselnitskaya’s ties to the Kremlin were important to mention for her Trump meeting, then why wouldn’t they be just as important to the guys who helped create the dossier that spurred the Russia probe?

Seems to me that selective editing and cherry-picking did not serve the reader well.

And there’s more paradigm-changing facts excluded from the Times story. Veselnitskaya managed to get into the U.S. because the Obama administration originally gave her a special parole visa.

Hmmm. The lawyer who sets up the Trump Tower meeting gets her original entry to the United States based on a special act by the Obama Justice Department. Seems relevant but, once again, absent from the story.

MY THIRD favorite omission of the week comes from the media’s coverage of the secret court filing made by Manafort’s lawyers. It turned out not to be so secret because its redactions were made public by a technical glitch.

Countless news organizations concentrated on the fact that Mueller believes Manafort shared Trump campaign polling data with a man in his firm named Konstantin Kilimnik, whom prosecutors claim is tied to Russian intelligence.

But omitted from those stories was the fact that U.S. intelligence first learned of Kilimnik’s ties to Russia intelligence more than a decade ago and warned then-Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) in 2005 as he prepared to run for president and was involved in a group that hired Kilimnik.

McCain dismissed the suspected Russian-tied man from the group. I know this because McCain told it to me personally in 2007 and his longtime adviser, John Weaver, re-confirmed it to me in 2017.

Here’s why that omission is relevant: If U.S. intelligence knew long ago of Kilimnik’s ties to Russia, and the George W. Bush intelligence apparatus warned a presidential contender in 2005, why didn’t the Barack Obamaintelligence community do the same in 2016 when Kilimnik’s colleague, Manafort, joined the Trump campaign as chairman?

Unfortunately, readers didn’t get to ask that question because they were kept in the dark….

And HUGH HEWITT covers the latest via John Sololmon of THE HILL.

Hugh Hewitt references and reads from the following articles to make the point clear that the FBI and DOJ (the proverbial 7th floor – top echelon) were acting politically and not legally. I will add a story from each of the authors as well):

UPDATED: Concern for American’s Lives (Obama vs. Trump)

There seems to be a difference between how each of the Presidential administrations treated these families. (Hat-Tip, FIREARMS LIFE)

The wall IS THE COMPASSIONATE ANSWER to the problem.

An Angel Mom offered to give Democrat leaders a grim “show and tell” reminder of the consequences of not securing the southern U.S. border.

Sabine Durden carries with her the ashes of her son, who was killed at 30 years old when an illegal immigrant slammed into his motorcycle, and wants House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer to understand what the fight for a border wall means…..

(BPR)

Take note that the FOX video exemplifies what almost all the news pieces do (not speaking about commentary shows like Sean Hannity), they invite both sides on. Other cable news outlets and sources of news rarely if ever practice this.

Democrat Adam Smith (D-WA), chair of the House Armed Services Committee, admitted this morning that President Trump has the authority to declare a national emergency and have the military build a wall along the US-Mexico border.

Hear GORKA’S thoughts on this.
