GAY PATRIOT notes that at one time the left wanted a strict separation of church and state. Now they wish to regulate it! In the NATIONAL REVIEW article GP links to, we read:

My friends and colleagues at the Alliance Defending Freedom announced today that they were filing suit against the Iowa Civil Rights Commission to block enforcement of gender identity guidelines that purport to regulate “a church service open to the public.” News flash — virtually every church service is open to the public.

Incredibly, the document contains an FAQ specifically directed at churches. Here it is:
DOES THIS LAW APPLY TO CHURCHES?
Sometimes. Iowa law provides that these protections do not apply to religious institutions with respect to any religion-based qualifications when such qualifications are related to a bona fide religious purpose. Where qualifications are not related to a bona fide religious purpose, churches are still subject to the law’s provisions. (e.g. a child care facility operated at a church or a church service open to the public).
It’s unclear to me how a branch of the Iowa state government has determined that a “church service open to the public” does not have a “bona fide religious purpose,” but there it is. Under current guidance, churches in Iowa must become “members only” to exercise their religious liberty. It’s tough to imagine this guidance surviving even liberal judicial review, but even if struck down it shows where some on the Left want to take the law. Not even the sanctuary is safe.
Left/right, Progressive/Conservative, Democrat/Republican… The names change and evolve but the core difference remains constant: The Collectivists vs. The Individualists. In his latest FIREWALL, but shows how violence, disruption and intimidation have always been the tools of the Collectivists. This is not about Donald Trump, no matter how much they want you to believe it.
….Students with views dissenting from liberal dogma are subjected to vitriolic name-calling, censorship, and even punishment by the university, Shapiro said – adding that the current campus climate even condones violence against those with conservative views:
“The idea is that if you disagree with the prevailing liberal orthodoxy, leftist orthodoxy I should say, then that makes you a bad person. ‘You’re a racist, sexist, bigoted homophobe. You need to be shut down. You’re hurting people’s feelings. The space is no longer safe. You’re triggering people. You’re micro-aggressing people. Violence or university measures are justified against you.’
“All of this is a soft form of fascism, and in some cases a not-so-soft form of fascism.”
In his MRCTV interview, Shapiro warned about the dangers of students with these “dangerous” ideologies that advocate force against dissent when they enter into the U.S. political system:
“When you indoctrinate an entire generation in the idea that any offense to their feelings must be met with some sort of campus force either organized or unorganized, either official or unofficial, that’s very dangerous stuff to pour into the American political system.”
Dennis Prager sheds some thinking and light on the recent issue of the fascist left shutting down free speech. While I may parse a little of his position – for instance Cruz should have come out and have been clear on the main issue that this is a tactic of the left, to shut down freedom of speech while at the same time noting just how un-presidential Trump has been – Dennis Prager is still correct in his overall premise.
AND REPUBLICAN missed an opportunity to separate what conservatism “is” – the protection of all sides being heard; versus only one side using brown shirt type tactics:

The leftist ideology of “multiculturalism” is dividing Europe. Europe as well has become more secular over the decades… so you have generations of people removed from a “conserving” Western cultural advances via a Grecian/Judeo-Christian history and worldview. So with the rapes and violence (see a recent post of mine where there is video of women being forcefully drug into a subway — yes — to be raped [2nd video]) caused by an ideology that rejects the advances of Western society and a religious tradition that even Richard Dawkins says Christianity is a “bulwark against something worse.”
And so, this something worse includes Islam, of course, but, it also is a harbinger to other ingredients in a civilization headed towards a world war. And it is the children living in the vapors of freedom created by the Judeo-Christian “bulwark.” These secular believers want freedom… but do not know how to retain or advance it — outside of how Mussolini says to:

This energy is seen in movements ~ reactions to [rightly so] ~ these animals living by and wanting to impose on civilization an ideology from 600 A.D.

The police indicated they would not help the pro-life Catholics in front of the church because the protestors were women. I guess women cannot be violent or commit crimes?
This gives a new meaning to the phrase “crotch shots,” but it’s not a pleasant change, as you’ll see in this video from Argentina. Last week, pro-abortion activists marched on the cathedral in San Juan de Cuyo as Catholics surrounded the building in prayer to protect it from violence. The protesters took out their rage on the faithful, spray-painting their faces and, er, aiming lower in some cases.

humor and lawsuits aside, there is some seriousness coming from this meeting that all conservatives should be made aware of:
Bolivian President Evo Morales called Thursday to save the Kyoto Protocol and to create an international climate justice tribunal. ‘The planet is wounded,’ Morales, Bolivia’s first president of indigenous descent, said in Mexico’s Caribbean resort city of Cancun. ‘We have an enormous responsibility with life and with humanity,’ he told the UN Climate Conference in a 20-minute speech. Morales asked industrialized nations to approve a second round of commitments to the Kyoto Protocol, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions after 2012. ‘If we send the Kyoto Protocol to the bin, we will be responsible for ‘ecocide,’ and thus for genocide, because we would be attacking humanity as a whole,’ he said.
I think that this is just another of the many grabs for control by those who do not believe in nation states. If we are worse than Hitler (what Al Gore thinks — see below) and commit genocide (President of Bolivia), who wouldn’t convict those who disagree with the eco-Left?
