Two of Twenty-Two Very Inconvenient Climate Truths

I have been waiting for the following information to explain the below graph more thoroughly:

1. The Mean Global Temperature has been stable since 1997, despite a continuous increase of the CO2 content of the air: how could one say that the increase of the CO2 content of the air is the cause of the increase of the temperature?

2. 57% of the cumulative anthropic emissions since the beginning of the Industrial revolution have been emitted since 1997, but the temperature has been stable. How to uphold that anthropic CO2 emissions (or anthropic cumulative emissions) cause an increase of the Mean Global Temperature?

(See more at link in the “22” graphic.)

Quickly… with the increase of CO2, we see POLAR BEAR POPULATIONS increasing, ISLANDS GROWING (not disappearing), etc. The environmentalist in the past said the disappearing of Polar Bears and Islands was evidence of CO2 increasing being harmful. Would it not fall into “my camp” to now say the increase in these are evidence that CO2 increasing is good? It would have to in order to be logically coherent. If not, the person making the previous claims should do some serious introspection.

Leftist Try To Control Language ~ “News-Speak” For Our Generation

Larry Elder eviscerates Lawrence O’Donnell and the “news-speak” left in their attempt to control language, words, and definitions to suit their political agenda. O’Donnell is saying that the word “thug” is a racist term… the only problem is, he has used it many times.

The “Sage” at his best… throwing down the gauntlet at the elitists.

Charles Murray On OVER Regulation and Big Government

“As government regulations grow slowly, we become used to the harness. Habit is a powerful force, and we no longer feel as intensely as we once would have [the] constriction of our liberties that would have been utterly intolerable a mere half century ago.” ~ Judge Robert Bork

This is the first segment from an interview with Charles Murray on his new book, “By the People: Rebuilding Liberty Without Permission.”

This segment reminded me of a quote I have kept for years, and while I am not the biggest fan of the author of it… but this quote and topic is instructive:

This is most evident in the fact that Americans today must obey thirty times as many laws as their great-grandfathers had to obey at the turn of the century. Federal agencies publish an average of over 200 pages of new rulings, regulations, and proposals in the Federal Register each business day. That growth of the federal statute book is one of the clearest measures of the increase of the government control of the citizenry…

James Bovard, Lost Rights: The Destruction of American Liberty (St. Martins Griffen; 1994), p. 1.

I fear this will be, not following the many laws by choice, the only route Americans [who hold to the Founding principles of this country] will have to do. Acting by disobeying.

“It’s Not The Role Of The Government To Delegitimize Fox News”

Via Breitbart:

In the latest episode of the American Enterprise Institute’s “Banter” podcast, Fox News regular Kirsten Powers, author of the new book, “The Silencing: How the Left is Killing Free Speech,” took aim at the Obama White House for the efforts it had made early in President Barack Obama’s presidency to delegitimize Fox News.

Powers explained this was just one instance of the regular occurring theme of some of the left side of the ideological spectrum trying to limit free speech.

“It’s been gradual,” she said. “It started out with the administration’s, what I call the war on Fox News, when they said Fox News is not a legitimate organization and started this really concerted campaign to delegitimize a news organization. That was the first time where I went, ‘Hmm, this doesn’t seem right.” You know, something is a little off here. This isn’t really the role of the government….

Ninjas Yell At Two Women in UAE Mall (Sharia On The Loose!)

This took place in a Mall in United Arab Emirate. When a group of Ninjas, or Hijab dressed women, approached two tourist ladies who seem to speak Arabic in Egyptian accent. And begun insulting them because of their dress not being that of the ancient order of Ninjas. At the end the Ninjas cursed the tourists.

She could have approached them nicely and let them know what she feels about their dress, thereby conveying the message of Islam with kind words and peaceful attitude. But Islam is not a peaceful religion… it is fascism in disguise. (This wasn’t a public mall or public street but was inside a women only mall.)

Jason Riley on Good Intentions ~ “Stop Helping Us” (Stossel)

Jason Riley, author of “Please Stop Helping Us,” joins John to explain how well-intended government program have damaged blacks in America.

“If we are to be mothered, mother must know best…. In every age the men who want us under their thumb, if they have any sense, will put forward the particular pretension which the hopes and fears of that age render most potent. They ‘cash in.’ It has been magic, it has been Christianity. Now it will certainly be science…. Let us not be deceived by phrases about ‘Man taking charge of his own destiny.’ All that can really happen is that some men will take charge of the destiny of others…. The more completely we are planned the more powerful they will be.”

[….]

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. Their very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be ‘cured’ against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals. But to be punished, however severley, because we have deserved it, because ‘ought to have known better,’ is to be treated as a human persons in God’s image.”

The Proper Evangelical Position on Same-Sex Marriage

This is an important discussion because Dr. Craig points out the proclivity for principles of special rights that counter equal rights. This podcast from Reasonable Faith (http://www.reasonablefaith.org/) is a great addition to the conversation we ALL should be having.

AGAIN, William Lane Craig does an excellent duty in treading the conservative Evangelical ~ Constitutional viewpoint in discussing Same Sex Marriage.

One should see my post on Christians who are living a chaste life or a changed life because of Christ!
