New Orwellian Attack Makes the Word “Homosexual” a Slur

Gay Patriot writes about how the Left fights the BIG battles facing our nation: over spending, foreign policy pressures, terrorism, freedom, etc. Hahahahaha… just joking:

As noted before, on the right, we worry about actual issues: regulation-fueled economic decline, corruption in Government, the erosion of individual liberty, the unsustainable fiscal path of the national Government.

On the left, they worry about vocabulary.

In part, this is a mark of desperation, David Brock and his merry band of Soros-paid nutjobs desperate for anything they can fling against the one news outlet that airs opposition views to leftist hegemony. There is no real racism, sexism, or homophobia on the right. So the left, in its desperation to remain peeved and aggrieved, must constantly lower the bar and change the rules. Hence, they declare that a previously inoffensive word is now offensive, so they can have their self-righteous tantrums about it. Also, note the new phenomenon of the “micro-aggression,” defined as a behavior that would not bother a normal person, but sends a politically correct leftist into paroxysms of outrage.

“Jay Carney Would Be Crowing” ~ Laura Ingraham (Video)

The Bottom-Line is brought to yoiu by CNSnews:

… “And that’s why Obama as the Russian troops are amassing goes on ‘Ellen,’ you know, he goes on the ‘Two Ferns’ show on the Internet,” Ingraham said. “They’re doing everything.

“You know, [Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen] Sebelius, talks about March madness so we think she’s really cool now because she actually knows what March madness is. She probably picked Stephen Austin, you know, Stephen F. Austin, now — to go to the final four,” she added.

“But none of this is mattering. I mean the fact you can throw-in some pop culture references and go on some of these cool comedy shows isn’t going to change the fact that most young people are — want choice. They want freedom. And they don’t want to be told what to do on health care. I think this is going to be a big, big problem in November,” Ingraham said.

Powerline vs. WaPo ~ Interview w/John Hinderaker Added @end

The Washington Post just makes stuff up now… from whole-cloth! H/T to IOwntheWorld, via Powerline:

On Thursday, the Washington Post published an article by Steven Mufson and Juliet Eilperin titled “The biggest lease holder in Canada’s oil sands isn’t Exxon Mobil or Chevron. It’s the Koch brothers.” The article’s first paragraph included this claim:

The biggest lease holder in the northern Alberta oil sands is a subsidiary of Koch Industries, the privately-owned cornerstone of the fortune of conservative Koch brothers Charles and David.

The theme of the article was that the Keystone Pipeline is all about the Koch brothers; or, at least, that this is a plausible claim. The Post authors relied on a report by a far-left group called International Forum on Globalization that I debunked last October.

So Thursday evening, I wrote about the Post article here. I pointed out that Koch is not, in fact, the largest leaser of tar sands land; that Koch will not be a user of the pipeline if it is built; and that construction of the Keystone Pipeline would actually be harmful to Koch’s economic interests, which is why Koch has never taken a position on the pipeline’s construction. The Keystone Pipeline, in short, has nothing whatsoever to do with the Koch brothers.

Ethics Violations @ WaPo

  • Koch is not the largest leaser of tar sands land;
  • Koch will not use the pipeline if it is built;
  • the Keystone Pipeline would harm the Kochs’  interest;
  • and the Koch brothers have not taken a position on the pipeline’s construction for that reason.

(Ethics Alarms)

My post garnered a great deal of attention, and Mufson and Eilperin undertook to respond to it here. It isn’t much of a response: they don’t deny the truth of anything Iwrote, and they don’t try to sustain the proposition that Koch is even in favor of the pipeline, let alone the driving force behind it. They lamely suggest that if Koch leased 2 million acres, rather than 1.1 million as they reported on Thursday, then Koch might be the largest leaseholder. But they make no attempt to respond to the official Province of Alberta maps that I posted, which clearly show that Canadian National Resources, Ltd., for example, leases more acreage than Koch.

The Post’s response attempted to explain “Why we wrote about the Koch Industries [sic] and its leases in Canada’s oil sands.” Good question! What’s the answer?

The Powerline article itself, and its tone, is strong evidence that issues surrounding the Koch brothers’ political and business interests will stir and inflame public debate in this election year. That’s why we wrote the piece.

So in the Post’s view, it is acceptable to publish articles that are both literally false (Koch is the largest tar sands leaseholder) and massively misleading (the Keystone Pipeline is all about Koch Industries), if by doing so the paper can “stir and inflame public debate in this election year?” I can’t top Jonah Goldberg’s comment on that howler:

By this logic any unfair attack posing as reporting is worthwhile when people try to correct the record. Why not just have at it and accuse the Kochs of killing JFK or hiding the Malaysian airplane? The resulting criticism would once again provide “strong evidence that issues surrounding the Koch brothers’ political and business interests will stir and inflame public debate in this election year.”

Wild Fire! Rocky Mountain Arsenal Firefighter’s Video

(Via The Blaze) Rocky Mountain Arsenal firefighter Thomas Rogers captured absolutely breathtaking footage of a vicious “dust devil” or “firenado” on camera last week. He naturally then uploaded the video on YouTube for the rest of us to enjoy.

The video is from Friday at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in the Denver area.

In an interview with CNN, Rogers said similar dust devils can occur “any time of the year, not just fire season.”

With the addition of the thrash metal music, the footage looks like something out of the apocalypse.

Global Cooling Reaches Hell~ Maher Defends Rumsfeld (Video)

From The Daily Caller:

Donald Rumsfeld seems to have given access to the person who loathes him the most in the world to produce a documentary of his life.

Errol Morris appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday night to talk with Maher about his forthcoming documentary on Rumsfeld, “The Unknown Known.” Maher watched the documentary and came away with some appreciation for Rumsfeld, even if the liberal political comedian clearly does not agree with the former Defense secretary for Presidents Gerald Ford and George W. Bush on most issues.

Babies: A Renewable [Green] Energy Source (Utopian “Dreams”)

I believe Hitler would approve… that is, heating buildings with a renewable energy source while ridding ourselves of unwanted persons (eugenics). The Telegraph notes (and I will add the video as it appears on the web later).

It’s a “win-win” for our leftist eco-fascists who surely view this as “saving the planet” in multiple ways —

  1. reducing the population of the planet;
  2. and not using fossil fuels.

Here is the story:

The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found.

Ten NHS trusts have admitted burning foetal remains alongside other rubbish while two others used the bodies in ‘waste-to-energy’ plants which generate power for heat.

Last night the Department of Health issued an instant ban on the practice which health minister Dr Dan Poulter branded ‘totally unacceptable.’

At least 15,500 foetal remains were incinerated by 27 NHS trusts over the last two years alone, Channel 4’s Dispatches discovered.

The programme, which will air tonight, found that parents who lose children in early pregnancy were often treated without compassion and were not consulted about what they wanted to happen to the remains.

When life — the innocent unborn — are considered fuel for heat… how can compassion be in the equation? How can it be expected? Dumb.

10th Mountain Division Deployment Video (HD)

(Via Funker530) From the video owner:

Creek Company, 2-4 IN, 4 BCT, 10th Mountain Division Deployment Video OEF XX-XXI

This video spans our 8 month deployment to Afghanistan towards the end of the war from June 2013 to February 2014. During this deployment the company was attached to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Afghanistan.The company moved constantly; conducting combat operations in Nangahar, Laughman, Wardak, Logar, and Ghazni provinces.

This video was created for 2 reasons:
-To give the men something to look back on in 10 years and help them remember what they did
-To give their families an idea of what their soldiers actually did while they were deployed

I struggled with the idea of posting this to the internet, because as soon as you do, you open yourself up to the comments of the the peanut gallery and armchair quarterbacks. However, I believe that the people who will enjoy this video will far out way the negative nancies. I also posted this for an additional reason. The majority of the country, the media, and big army seems to think that the war in Afghanistan is over. I assure you it is not. There are still thousands of good Americans in harms way fighting and dying over there. Maybe this video will help remind some people of that.

WOW! Dave Rubin Says Obama Has Destroyed “Fear” of America

On OraTV’s ‘Politicking,’ conservative talk show host Dennis Prager was surprised by progressive Dave Rubin admitting it a problem President Barack Obama has destroyed the world’s “fear” of America. Prager said it doesn’t bode well for Obama when the people on the left think he has diminished America’s global standing…

Libertarian Republican added to the convo:

….Watch as Prager practically does the back flip with joy after Rubin admits:

“there’s no fear. We’ve lost our deterrence of fear. And I do think that’s a problem…”

Exit question – Great. The left is even acknowledging Obama’s a weenie. Now how about the left-libertarians, Ron Paulists, non-interventionists? When are they going to acknowledge that weakness makes us vulnerable to communist expansionism (i.e. Castro-istas in Venezuela, Central America), and moreover Islamic terrorism?

Chicago Teachers Union President Politicizes Math ~ REALLY!

This (the above and below) comes from EAG.org, here is part of the post by them, which can be linked to below:

EAGnews has previously reported about the social justice math activists’ tricks in a book called “Rethinking Mathematics: Teaching Social Justice by the Numbers,” edited by Peterson.

The book includes “lessons and essays about racial profiling, environmental racism, unfair mortgage lending practices of Big Banks, the ‘overabundance of liquor stores’ in minority communities, and slave-owning U.S. presidents,” EAGnews’ Ben Velderman wrote.

“The book’s other major theme is that capitalism’s unequal distribution of wealth is the root cause of the world’s suffering. Students learn to despise free market economics in lessons about third-world sweatshops, ‘living wage’ laws, the earnings of fast food workers and restaurant CEOs, and the ‘hidden’ costs of meat production,” Velderman reported.

In the book, Peterson explains his rationale for attacking the American narrative:

“I figure that if kids start questioning the ‘official story’ early on, they will be more open to alternative viewpoints later on. While discovering which presidents were slave owners is not an in-depth analysis, it pokes an important hole in the godlike mystique that surrounds the ‘founding fathers.’”

Unionists now can’t even leave math alone and have hijacked it to push their own political agenda.

Thank goodness a growing number of parents have access to charter schools, cyberschools, voucher schools and homeschools – all of which provide an alternative to government schools, many of which have been infiltrated by left-wing activists like Lewis and Peterson.
