GATEWAY PUNDIT notes the percentage involved in skipping the inauguration:
So far more than 40 DEMOCRATS have announced their intention of boycotting the peaceful transfer of power. After eight years of Obama there are only 194 Democrats left in the US House of Representatives. That means more than 20% of Democrats are boycotting the Trump Inauguration. The Cry Baby Party is having a rough time adjusting to the fact that they have become a coastal minority party.
Some of the reasoning behind this choice can be found here at WCYB 5-NEWS.
I love this.
These actions by Democrats will further split the Democrats and ensure them becoming MORE of a municipal party in 2018 and 2020 — keep it up! As an aside, John Lewis uses so much rhetoric, he forgets what he has done/said in the past.
Lewis vs. Lewis
Mind you, this isn’t the first time he has lied and been caught…
This video tears many aspects of the “racial slur” incident said to of happened by Tea Partiers towards two black congressmen. There has been some back and forth going on on this topic over at POWER LINE BLOG that will enlighten the reader here to what is still going on with this story.
When Rep. Duncan Hunter took down a painting hung in the U.S. Capitol that depicted police officers as pigs, Rep. William Lacy Clay was livid at the California Republican. Even though Rep. Hunter had only taken down the painting and returned it to the Missouri Democrat’s office because it was offensive to police, Clay wanted Hunter to pay dearly for making him look bad.
So, what did Clay do about Hunter’s decision to take down a painting that depicted police as pigs? He, uh, went to the police.
If irony and cognitive dissonance could create power, the Democrats would ensure we would never have to worry about drilling another drop of oil.
“He had no right to take that picture down,” Clay said Monday, according to The Washington Post. “It’s thievery.”
Oh, the irony.
I used a bit of video from Fox Business’ story, below:
…The painting, “Untitled #1,” has drawn criticism from police groups, who said it depicts police as pigs; one officer appears prominently with what looks like the head of a hog or boar.
Steven Engelhardt said Clay would not be available for comment Friday, and Clay was not in his office, a receptionist said.
“It was an impulsive thing when I walked by,” Hunter said of his decision to remove the painting Friday morning.
“It strikes a nerve. I’m not a cop, but I was in the Marine Corps,” he said, in a 10-minute interview in his office. “It kind of strikes the same nerve as when the guys came home from Vietnam, and they called them baby killers.”….
Congressman Duncan Hunter, Republican from California took down a controversial painting from the wall of a Capitol complex hallway Friday morning.
The painting by St. Louis student David Pulphus which was selected as a winner of a Congressional art contest in 2016 is about the Ferguson, Missouri anti-police riots and depicted police officers as pigs. The painting was selected to hang in the Capitol by the office of Congressman William Lacy Clay, Democrat from Missouri. It has hung at the Capitol in a tunnel that connects lawmakers’ offices at the Longworth Building with the Capitol since a June ceremony for winners of the contest.
