Dennis Prager Appears on Reliable Sources to Debate John Aravosis About Same-Sex Marriage

To say John Aravosis cannot respond coherently without childish “sweeping aside” arguments is an understatement. One site not supportive of Dennis’ views says this of John:

Aravosis opens with a ridiculous premise, saying that “whenever you have a political contest, and one side wins, they cover the victor.” Not only is that premise false, it papers over the relevant fact, that coverage of the Marriage Equality Act is a rare example of the media doing its job. The media’s coverage of Proposition 8 (which Prager correctly cites), and even more recently, the Citizens United Supreme Court decision, did not focus on the so-called “victors,” but on the negative consequences of each of them…. Aravosis opts for transparent straw-man arguments, bizarrely saying, at one point, that “Now, Dennis is talking about I’m trying to turn him into a woman.” (Media’ite)

As Usual-FOXNEWS Dominates!

From NewsBusters:

The Fox News Channel absolutely dominated its cable news competition in February. In terms of overall viewers, the top 11 cable news shows were all on Fox. In the coveted 25-54 demographic – the group that advertisers pay particularly close attention to – Fox took 11 of the top 15 spots.

The Rachel Maddow Show earned the top spot for an MSNBC program. Despite her struggles with factual accuracy of late, it seems Maddow has assumed the role of leading prime time anchor left vacant by Keith Olbermann’s departure.

Why is this? Media Bias:

Also, this clarification for those who do not know that this is the norm:

Here are some of the highlights from Nielsen that will help you cut through all the clutter of ratings, shares and spin for February:

For the 110th straight month, Fox was the most-watched news channel in total viewers for both Total Day and Primetime.

Overall, Fox News Channel  was the fourth most watched basic cable network in Primetime — behind USA, TNT and History. By comparison in the news universe, MSNBC was 26th and CNN was 29th. By comparison to other widely known channels, ESPN ranked 6th, MTV was 1th and AMC finished 17th. And who else in the world of news does better than top sports and entertainment programming outside of the legendary “60 Minutes” on CBS?

During Total Day, FNC was the sixth most-watched cable network, while CNN was 27th and MSNBC was 28th.

In Primetime, Fox News beat all three news channels – MSNBC, CNN, HLN – combined in total viewers. In Total Day, Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers.

An Example of Media Bias~38th Annual March for Life vs Immigration Protest

CNN devoted three and a half minutes of coverage on Monday’s Newsroom to a protest by “two dozen, maybe three dozen” people who were against two proposed laws targeting illegal immigration in Arizona. The network showed live and taped footage of this liberal protest. By contrast, CNN spent a mere 11 seconds to the March for Life in January and showed no footage from the pro-life demonstration. (NewsBusters)

Thank you for making the 38th annual March for Life the biggest and most enthusiastic ever! The number of marchers who made the journey to our nation’s capital once again exceeded the record number of participants that attended the previous year. Some estimaters pegged the number at approximately 400,000, about the same as 2010. But other experienced observers thought that the crowd was much larger than last year, especially considering that tens of thousands of marchers got a jump start and reached Capitol Hill before the main contingent even left the staging area! (March for Life Site)

So you have all these members of Congress, plus about 400,000 people, not to mention the many elsewhere — for instance, most capitals and or major cities had marches. And while these were not as large as the Washington march… they were still more than dozens of people giving Arizona another “black eye.”

Crosshairs Not Acceptable Anymore-Controlling Language the PC Way (CNN’s John King Apologizes)~Rush Limbaugh Added

(For fuller context, see EyeBlast)

Using CNN’s line of thought, Target stores have been inciting hatred since 1962! This reminds me of a few books on the PC lifestyle the Left loves to try and inflict on us all. A fun read on this topic was written by Michael Smerconish entitled Muzzled. In his opening sentences of his first paragraph he says this:

MUZZLED. In a word, it’s what we’ve become. Words and actions in this country have become MUZZLED by those among us in favor of political correctness who would sacrifice the rugged individualism that has been the hallmark of our nation. It’s a trend that has been building for a while but is now totally out of control.

And in the final sentences Smerconish writes a fictitious letter to his son. But with all this talk… is it not headed this way? I mean, if “crosshairs” can be scrubbed from TV, how long before the actual crosshairs? Which is why putting Constitutional judges on the Supreme Court is key. Here is that fictional ending:

You know your dad; I was never comfortable when they passed the mandatory handgun hand-in.

Maybe I should have seen it coming.

I mean, when Congress finally declared the NRA to be a hate group, the handwriting was on the wall.

But they really took the gun outlawing too far. I mean, when the citizen ban was expanded to police, that was just too much for me.

The Powers That Be mentions this and throws in the pic:

At Hot Air, Allahpundit wonders: How did America survive through all the years CNN aired this program

This weird 1984/Animal Farm/Fahrenheit 451/Brave New World way of thinking that infects the left is crazy! However, since the Democratic Party is leaning left these days, there is some history people should know about maybe why it is that the Left loves to control language in a Politically Correct fashion. Here is a decent 3-part YouTube presentation of the ideas behind this language control:
