American Media Should Be Taking Notes (Al Jazeera`s Bias Exposed)

Via The Blaze:

…Twenty-two of the network’s Cairo staff resigned on Monday. According to Gulf News, anchor Karem Mahmoud of Al Jazeera’s Mubasher Misr channel announced that the resignations were motivated by what he called “biased coverage” of the events leading up to the ouster of the Muslim Brotherhood-aligned former President Morsi.

The news anchor revealed that Al Jazeera management would instruct each staff member to favor the Muslim Brotherhood in their broadcasts. According to Gulf News, Mahmoud said that “there are instructions to us to telecast certain news”.

Sultan al-Qassemi, a widely-followed media commentator from the United Arab Emirates tells the Daily Star, “Al-Jazeera Arabic in 2011 was squarely on the side of the anti-government [anti-Mubarak] protesters, today the channel is notorious for being the mouthpiece of the Brotherhood party.”

Some other news Corps around town SHOULD be taking notes:

(Via Breitbart) Jeff Cohen has been all over cable news as a contributor, but for a time he worked as a senior producer for MSNBC. Monday, in the wake of the NSA spying scandal, Cohen lashed out at his former employer as the “official network of the Obama White House.”

When it comes to issues of U.S. militarism and spying, the allegedly “progressive” MSNBC often seems closer to the “official network of the Obama White House” than anything resembling an independent channel. With a few exceptions (especially Chris Hayes [10]), MSNBC has usually reacted to expanded militarism and surveillance by downplaying the abuses or defending them.

Had McCain or Romney defeated Obama and implemented the exact same policies, treating whistleblowers like Manning and Snowden as foreign espionage agents, one would expect MSNBC hosts to be loudly denouncing the Republican abuses of authority.

Cohen continues:

The World War I vintage Espionage Act, originally used to imprison socialists for making antiwar speeches, has been used by the administration against whistleblowers with a vengeance unprecedented in history: eight leakers have been charged  with Espionage under Obama, compared to three under all previous presidents.

More than all other presidents! Let that sink in… that’s MSNBC, how bout NPR? Bernie Goldberg helps us with this question:

$$$ QUOTE

Maybe Nina wished Tony Snow would get cancer as retribution from “the Good Lord.”

…consider this statement made by the co-host of NPR’s On the Media:

“If you were to somehow poll the political orientation of everybody in the NPR news organization and all of the member stations, you would find an overwhelmingly progressive, liberal crowd.”

In the “overwhelmingly” liberal bubble that is NPR, executives were appalled at Juan Williams comment to Bill O’Reilly that ““When I get on a plane … if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they’re identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried, I get nervous.

This was so bigoted, in their view, that they had to fire Mr. Williams.  In a statement explaining why they did it, NPR said:  Williams’ words “were inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices, and undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”

But these same sensitive liberal souls let Nina Totenberg, NPR’s Legal Affairs  correspondent, go on a Sunday talk show each week and spout all sorts of liberal nonsense.  Who could forget her shot at then Senator Jesse Helms of North Carolina, a comment for which she later apologized.  If there was “retributive justice,” in the world, Ms. Totenberg said, Jesse Helms would “get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his grandchildren will get it.”

Inside the liberal bubble Juan Williams is a bigot.  Nina Totenberg isn’t.

That’s one of the many reasons it matters if a newsroom is “overwhelmingly” liberal – or conservative.

Here are some other examples that Glenn Beck so astutely explains in 10-minutes:

Here are some examples — out of the many — from people like Dennis Prager, MRC’s montage of yearly examples, and Larry Elder’s example of Hollywood bias.

Andrew Pochter, the American Killed In Egypt, Brainwashed By Our Educational Institutions (e.g., Lies)

(Posted from work) The young kid, Andrew Pochter, the U.S. citizen stabbed to death in Egypt… While a Jew, seemed to be caught up in the idea of “Revolutionary” thought. In an article written by acquaintance of his linked an article Andrew wrote in Al Arabiya (which is where the above photo comes from) in which he seemed supportive of jihadists:

Earlier last month, the King approved the release of 90 Islamist and Sahrawi political prisoners. This seems to be a good start, though it is important to keep in mind that over 100 political prisoners still remain behind bars.

Pochter said the release of 90 Islamists was a good start? American Thinker points out that those who indoctrinated him in college are the one’s who bear the cost of the brutal stabbing of this young man. The previously mentioned post by an acquaintance of Pochter’s said this:

To the killers, I say… if you knew him you wouldn’t have done this.

How naive!

From American Thinker;

  • First, 73% of the Palestinians surveyed agree with the annihilationist dictates of this canonical hadith (the words and deeds of Islam’s prophet Muhammad which have a weight often equal to the Koran), quoted in the Hamas Covenant….
  • 80% agreed with the quoted sentiments expressed in article 15 of the Hamas Covenant (subtitled, “Jihad for the Liberation of Palestine is a Personal Duty”), which describes classical jihadist theory — including jihad martyrdom (i.e., homicide bombing) operations — as well as its practical modern application to the destruction of Israel by jihad,  and the need to recruit the entire global Muslim community….

[…..]

The day the enemies conquer some part of the Muslim land, jihad becomes a personal duty of every Muslim. In the face of the Jewish occupation of Palestine, it is necessary to raise the banner of jihad. This requires the propagation of Islamic consciousness among the masses, locally [in Palestine], in the Arab world and in the Islamic world. It is necessary to instill the spirit of jihad in the nation, engage the enemies and join the ranks of the jihad fighters. The indoctrination campaign must involve ulama, educators, teachers and information and media experts, as well as all intellectuals, especially the young people and the sheikhs of Islamic movements…It is necessary to establish in the minds of all the Muslim generations that the Palestinian issue is a religious issue, and that it must be dealt with as such, for [Palestine] contains Islamic holy places, [namely] the Al-Aqsa mosque, which is inseparably connected, for as long as heaven and earth shall endure, to the holy mosque of Mecca through the Prophet’s nocturnal journey [from the mosque of Mecca to the Al-Aqsa mosque] and through his ascension to heaven thence. “Being stationed on the frontier for the sake of Allah for one day is better than this [entire] world and everything in it; and the place taken up in paradise by the [horseman’s] whip of any one of you [jihad fighters] is better than this [entire] world and everything in it. Every evening [operation] and morning [operation] performed by Muslims for the sake of Allah is better than this [entire] world and everything in it.” (Recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi and Ibn Maja). “By the name of Him who holds Muhammad’s soul in His hand, I wish to launch an attack for the sake of Allah and be killed and attack again and be killed and attack again and be killed.” (Recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari and Muslim)

This is the “context” Andrew Pochter was never taught by the pseudo-intellectual, moral cretins indoctrinating similarly callow American youth throughout our academic, religious, political, and media institutions. All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten the dastardly hands of those who indoctrinated him—to his death.

Pochter was looking at the world with Western eyes that have its ethos flooded with the Judeo-Christian understanding of peace and Justice. Pochter put this Matrix onto the Middle-East and expected the Islamists and Marxian revolutionaries to abide by this. Pathetic. The Jewish Press put it well:

What was he doing in Egypt?  Why did he feel more connected to Arab countries than to Israel?  Did he really think that he, a Jewish American, could do something for “the pursuit of peace and understanding?”

Did his family support this delusion?

Did his family and friends and teachers warn him that he was going to a dangerous place?

Another site astutely asks, “Hmmm, I wonder if the words ‘left wing,’ ‘anti-Israeli apartheid,’ ‘free free Palestine,’ ‘bleeding heart liberal Jew’ are part of this equation?” I wonder as well. Yet another commentator on a blog about Pochter said the obvious:

If a Jewish kid from a liberal arts college thinks he’s going to change the lunacy that has engulfed Egypt, then he’s showing that his parents should have given him a few doses of reality along with the credit cards and summer camps

Islamists do not care about others, even their own son’s and daughters (read here trained from a young age to be suicide bombers). Neither do Marxian revolutionaries. In what I can find about Pochter, he seems to equate the two religions (Judaism and Islam) as morally equivalent. Hogwash. Even mentioning in the above “poem” that Jesus and Muhammad are the same. Hogwash. In a response to a local writer, I make the differences known:

MUHAMMAD ordered his followers (and participated in) the cutting of throats of between 600-to-900 persons. Not all men, but women and children. He was a military tactician that lied and told others to use deception that ultimately led to the death of many people (taqiyya). We never see any depictions of Muhammad with children, we just know that he most likely acquired a gal at age 6 and consummated the “marriage” when she was nine. He was a pedophile in other words. While the Qu’ran states that a follower of this book should have no more than 4 wives, we know of course that he had many more. Many more.

JESUS, when Peter struck off the ear of the soldier, healed it. Christ said if his followers were of any other kingdom, they would fight to get him off the cross. Christ invited and used children as examples of how Jewish adults should view their faith… something culturally radical – inviting children into an inner-circle of a group of status oriented men as the Pharisees were and using them as examples to learn from. Jesus, and thusly us, can access true love because the Triune God has eternally loved (The Father loves the Son, etc. ~ unlike the unitarian God of Islam). Love between us then, my wife and I, the love in community/Body of Christ, has foundations in God. Even the most ardent Muslim still leaves his or her entrance into “heaven” as an arbitrary choice of “god.” The love of Christ and the relationship he offers is bar-none the center piece of our faith… something the Muslim does not have. Which is why the Church evolved because they have a point of reference in Christ to come back to. We would not want the Muslim to fall back to his point of reference but to look to Jesus as a referent.

So what do I tell even a truly moderate Muslim? “I hope you act more like Jesus than Muhammad.” Differences matter. But not on University and College campuses.

Spec-Ops Vets and Egyptian Liberals Agree: Morsi, Bad; Those Who Support Him, Bad

(Via Gateway Pundit) Secular Egyptian Protesters Bash US Democrats in Tahrir: “Down With American Democratic Party, the Ally of Morsi” ~ The Egyptian liberals are very upset with Barack Obama and his Democrat Party for propping up the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi regime. This sign was seen in Tahrir this week:

  • “Down with the American Democratic Party the ally of Morsi, down with Morsi the infiltrator of America”

(Related: Via Breitbart) Special Ops Vet Group Criticizes Weapons Sale to Muslim Brotherhood

Criticizing Obama’s plan to provide Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi with F-16 fighter jets and “no less than 200 M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks,” retired Navy SEAL Capt. and co-founder of Special Operations Speaks Larry Bailey says there’s no way to separate support for Morsi from support for the Muslim Brotherhood.

President Morsi has made no qualms about his racist views toward Israel, his radical Islamist beliefs, or his willingness to impose dictatorial measures on Christians and the opposition party in Egypt. Yet for some reason, Barack Obama thinks that giving Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood allies newer, highly advanced fighter jets and the most lethal of modern tanks on the battlefield will lead to stability in the region.

Bailey cites Morsi’s description of Israelis as “blood-suckers” and “descendants of apes and pigs” as evidence of his hostility to America’s allies:

It is the height of madness to give radical Islamists–who openly hate our allies–new and more powerful weapons with which they could potentially destroy them. Special Operations Speaks condemns the Obama Administration’s decision to follow through on the deal in the strongest terms.

Wall Street Journal adds to the craziness:

Egypt’s President-elect Mohammed Morsi made a nod to his base in a speech on Friday when he pledged to seek the release of Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman from U.S. custody.

Sheik Abdel-Rahman, who is better known as the “blind sheik” is serving a life sentence at a federal penitentiary in North Carolina for his role in planning the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City.

His detention has become a cause célèbre among hard-line Salafi Islamists whom Mr. Morsi counted on in his runoff against ex-regime loyalist Ahmed Shafiq….

Bill Kristol Easily Responds to Evan Bayh’s Misguided View the Democrats Have About Egypt & the Middle-East in General

Video Description:

Bill Kristol shows what real thinking in terms of what the current administration has done in regards to Middle-East policy is to be. (Posted by: Religio-Political Talk). Former Democratic Senator of Indiana, Evan Bayh, shows the lack of understanding both he, and frankly most Democrats, have in regards specifically to Egypt (micro); and to the Middle-East in general (macro). This is a great dichotomy between two views.

Egyptian Women vs. Morsi/Obama

Two days after Obama said this:

“Mr. Obama told aides he was impressed with the Egyptian leader’s pragmatic confidence,” the Times reported. “He sensed an engineer’s precision with surprisingly little ideology. Most important, Mr. Obama told aides that he considered Mr. Morsi a straight shooter who delivered on what he promised and did not promise what he could not deliver.”

Going on in this gushing vein, the Times concluded: “As for Mr. Obama, his aides said they were willing to live with some of Mr. Morsi’s more populist talk as long as he proves constructive on substance. ‘The way we’ve been able to work with Morsi,’ said one official, ‘indicates we could be a partner on a broader set of issues going forward.’ “

A day after this era of good feelings had begun, Mr. Morsi awarded himself dictatorial powers. The worst that White House spokesman Jay Carney would say is that the administration is “concerned.”

The fight for rights resumes… despite Islamo-Fascists and American support, via the Obama admin:

Egypt Adds Islamic Influence to Constitution ~ No equal rights for women; owning slaves not banned

CAIRO—Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi and his Islamist allies rushed to complete a new constitution with references to Shariah, or Islamic law, setting the stage for a new showdown with secularists, liberals and the country’s judiciary.

Drafters voted on the constitution’s 234 articles, one by one, overnight Thursday, with the head of the Islamist-dominated constitutional assembly racing to complete the document before a Supreme Court verdict on Sunday that could dissolve the assembly.

The charter that took shape, Egyptian legal experts said, was almost identical to the 1971 constitution written by former President Anwar Sadat, which underpinned a presidential-led autocracy for four decades.

But unlike Mr. Sadat’s version, the new constitution incorporates mentions of Islamic law that could elevate the role of Islam in Egypt’s public life and government.

In one clause worrying for Egypt’s liberals, the draft assigns the state with the responsibility to “ensure public morality,” a clause that critics said is open to manipulation by Islamists. ….

The White House (President, Hillary, and Jay Carney) Is Wrong ~ Attacks Planned Before YouTube Airing of `Movie` (Plus: Michael Coren & Larry Elder)

From Gateway Pundit:

White House Spokesman Jay Carney told reporters today that the Middle East protests were in response to a video.

“These protests were in reaction to a video that had spread to the region… The unrest we’ve seen in the region has been in reaction to a video.”

He’s wrong. The Muslim protests were planned back in August – before the film was ever released. The protest in Cairo was organized by the terror group, Jamaa Islamiya. USA Today reported:

The protest was planned by Salafists well before news circulated of an objectionable video ridiculing Islam’s prophet, Mohammed, said Eric Trager, an expert at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

The protest outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo was announced Aug. 30 by Jamaa Islamiya, a State Department-designated terrorist group, to protest the ongoing imprisonment of its spiritual leader, Sheikh Omar abdel Rahman. He is serving a life sentence in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

When the video started circulating, Nader Bakkar, the spokesman for the Egyptian Salafist Noor party, which holds about 25% of the seats in parliament, called on people to go to the embassy. He also called on non-Islamist soccer hooligans, known as Ultras, to join the protest.

On Monday, the brother of al-Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri, Mohamed al Zawahiri, tweeted that people should go to the embassy and “defend the prophet,” Trager said.

Zawahiri justified al-Qaeda’s 9/11 attacks in an interview with Al Jazeera last month.

The first clip of “Innocence of Muslims” was shown on Al-Nas TV, an Egyptian Islamist television station, on September 8, 2012.

What the White Houses apology has don is hurt Hindu’s, Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs, and truly moderate Muslims. And now we see violence in Sydney Australia. Again, from Gateway Pundit:

Our current administration doesn’t see the threat too clearly. They say this anger is NOT directed towards the United States, but a simple jog down memory lane shows that this hatred of both Israel and America is more than just a YouTube movie that maybe 10-people saw.

Egyptian man living in Egypt and watching the takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood shows his disgust with Radical Islam ~ tears up a Koran

Via Libertarian Republican:

…There really isn’t any translation necessary. But to add some context, the Egyptian man living in Egypt and watching the takeover by the Muslim Brotherhood, shows his disgust with Radical Islam. He expressed disdain for the violence inspired by the Koran, its anti-modernity, and its attacks on reason. He tears out some pages, and then slams the book to the ground.

Editor’s comment – So, next time you hear some liberal calling Terry Jones a “racist” point them to this video link.
