Record 94,610,000 Americans Not In Labor Force
The number of Americans not in the labor force exceeded 94 million for the second time in a row last month hitting a new record high, according to new government data released Friday morning.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that a record 94,610,000 people (ages 16 and over) were not in the labor force in September. In other words they were neither employed nor had made specific efforts to find work in the prior four weeks.
The number of individuals out of the work force last month — due to discouragement, retirement or otherwise — represented a substantial 579,000 person increase over the most recent record, hit in August, of 94,031,000 people out of the workforce.
While the prior two months saw a labor force participation rate of 62.2 percent, September’s participation rate dropped to 62.4 percent, matching the lowest level seen since October 1977….
Record 56,647,000 Women Not In Labor Force
More than 56 million women were not of the U.S. labor force last month, according to new government data released Friday. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that 56,647,000 women, ages 16 and older during the month of September were neither employed nor had made specific efforts to find work in the past four weeks.
The number of women not participating in the workforce was up 394,000 from August, when 56,253,000 women were out of the workforce.
National numbers of people not participating in the work force experienced a similar trend, increasing in September to a record 94,610,000 Americans — both men and women — out of the labor force.
Additionally the number of women in the civilian labor force declined from August’s level of 73,593,000 women to 73,313,000 women. The labor force participation rate among women in September was 53.6 percent, down 0.2 percent from August….
The Umpqua Killer Targeted Christians

…Kortney Moore said she was in her writing class when a bullet went through the window hitting her teacher in the head. Soon after, the shooter was inside the room demanding to know the religion of her fellow students.
The 18-year-old laid on the ground next to some of the victims shot by the gunman but managed to make it out alive.
Anastasia Boylan, 18, was one of Harper-Mercer’s victims who only survived by playing dead.
Her father Stacy spoke to CNN and described his daughter’s horrifying ordeal, saying that Harper-Mercer at one point asked who was Christian, and told them all to stand up.
‘And they would stand up and he said, “Good, because you’re a Christian, you’re going to see God in just about one second,”‘ said Stacy.
Rebel Media Does Bomb-Clock (Ezra Levant & Gavin McInnes)

Ezra Levant of TheRebel.Media asks, did you see that story about the 14-year-old kid in Dallas, Ahmed Mohamed, who made a home-made clock, took it to school but because he’s a Muslim, his teacher called the principal and they called the cops who arrested him, interrogated him and suspended him because they thought he was making a bomb?
But what about my take on the story? That the kid didn’t make a clock at all. He made something look as bomb-like as possible, on purpose, and brought it to school. All his teacher told him was, don’t walk around with it in case it worries people. But Ahmed did that anyhow. He took it to another class where the alarm went off, making that teacher suspicious, just like he knew it would. Then he was passive aggressive with the cops, who immediately pegged him as a hoaxer.
What if, just like his dad, a crazy fake sheikh who ran for president of Sudan and who participates in incendiary stunts, he’s a media hound?
Oh — and his sister was suspended for allegedly making bomb threats, too.
No wonder this boy is being invited to the White House. If Obama finds out the whole story, he’ll probably appoint Ahmed as an ambassador.
That’s why leftists love him. Not because of what really happened. But because of what they can say happened, to shame and blame America.

“This kid was not making a clock and innocently taking it to school. He was committing a crime by deliberately taking a device to school that looked like a bomb. The entire world fell for it including the president of the United States. All they did was pull the guts out of an old alarm clock and throw it in a pencil box. It’s the farthest thing from a homemade clock (and not that far from a bomb).

Charts and Numbers Elucidate Planned Parenthood’s Budget
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT)did get the chart wrong, and it may be from a pro-life choice. But below is the correct chart and it is still damning:

…The Hill has a round up of Chaffetz’ report released during a House Overnight and Government Reform Committee hearing (emphasis mine).
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) on Tuesday accused the organization of racking up “exorbitant travel expenses,” including first-class flights, charter travel and entertainment costs that included $622,706 on “blowout parties” with celebrity guests…
Some of the themed parties had names such as “Gathering of Goddesses and Gods,” “Chocolate Champagne” and “Murder Mystery,” according to a report released by the committee during the hearing Tuesday…
The committee’s report also noted Planned Parenthood’s real estate holdings, including $34.8 million for its corporate office space near Madison Square Garden in New York City in 2011. In 2015, it sold a 72,000 square-foot condominium to Brookfield Property Partners for $69.6 million.
That’s a LOT of money and it shows Planned Parenthood has some pretty good financial advisers to boot. There’s something else the hearing showed, which was Planned Parenthood would have plenty of money even if all their federal cash was suddenly cut off. Planned Parenthood gets about $700B in nongovernmental funds, and Legal Insurrection’s Kemberlee Kaye found they do a nice job at keeping expenses low.
Not helping their give us ALL the tax money case was the revelation that Planned Parenthood raised $127 million over their expenditures last year. When asked how the $127 million was spent, Richards stammered, began listing expenses until she was corrected, and struggled as she attempted to explain how the organization spent their multi-million-dollar overage.
Unfortunately, the narrative from the left on the hearing will be the rapid-fire exchange between Chaffetz and Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards on how much she makes in a year…
