Mark Steyne Rapes Two Liberals
Here is Mark’s commentary on his site (the entire debate can be found here as well. Steyn’s closing argument can be found here). Take note the large change in view from listening to debate on the issue towards the conservative view. That is because a) it is the stronger — fact filled truly compassionate viewpoint… as compared to an emotionally filled and obfuscated position. The second reason the large change happened is because in Europe, the opposing viewpoint is never heard. There is no “talk radio,” no conservative public viewpoints available to the masses in Europe. So when people hear the rational positions held [for the first time] by conservatives they change their minds to fit the evidence.
On Friday night, Mark took to the stage of Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall for the Munk Debate. With Rudyard Griffiths moderating, Steyn and UKIP leader Nigel Farage took on former UN Human Rights Commissioner Louise Arbour and historian Simon Schama over the tide of migrants sweeping Europe.

At the start of the debate, the audience voted 77 per cent pro, 23 per cent con. At the end of the debate, they voted again:
The post debate vote is 55% pro and 45% con. The con side shifted 22% of the vote from the pre-debate results. Con wins.
So Steyn & Farage doubled their vote over the course of the night, which is not a bad result with a tough Trudeaupian crowd.

The below video is a the original Ben Affleck video challenging Sam Harris. What I didn’t know however is that Ben (and all the panelists) are instructed not to interfere with the interview portion between Maher and whoever his guest is that sits to our right, Maher’s left.

These “terrorists have no resolvable grievances” ~ Netanyahu
- I first want to send my condolences to the families of those murdered in today’s terrorist attacks in Brussels. The chain of attacks from Paris to San Bernardino to Istanbul to the Ivory Coast and now to Brussels, and the daily attacks in Israel – this is one continuous assault on all of us. In all these cases the terrorists have no resolvable grievances. It’s not as if we could offer them Brussels, or Istanbul, or California, or even the West Bank. That won’t satisfy their grievances. Because what they seek is our utter destruction and their total domination. Their basic demand is that we should simply disappear. Well, my friends, that’s not going to happen. The only way to defeat these terrorists is to join together and fight them together. That’s how we’ll defeat terrorism – with political unity and with moral clarity. Netanyahu also criticized the United Nations for maligning Israel:

Netanyahu questioned why anyone would think that the U.N. could impose peace terms on Israel, when it is allowing Palestinians to think they can “stab their way to a state.”
Netanyahu said the best formula for achieving peace is the two-state solution, “in which a de-militarized Palestinian state finally recognizes the Jewish state.”
“Now, I know there’s some skepticism about my views on this, so let me state unequivocally — and here’s the acid test. I’m ready to begin such negotiations immediately, without preconditions, anytime, anywhere,” Netanyahu said. “That’s a fact. But President Abbas is not ready to do so. That’s also a fact. There is political will here in Jerusalem. There is no political will there in Ramallah.”
Netanyahu noted that Abbas has refused to even talk with him for the past five-and-a-half years….

Muslim Nanny Decapitates 4-Year-Old Child In Her Charge

Pamela Geller notes that the Russian “media cited authorities as suspecting it was a case of mental illness rather than a terrorist incident.” Miss Geller continued to point out, “This woman was motivated by religion whatever her mental state.” Breitbart reports more on the story (addition of uncensored video is by me, not Breitbart):
A woman has been detained in Moscow after brandishing a severed child’s head at police and allegedly shouting “Allahu Akbar”.
The woman, who has been named locally as Gyulchekhra Bobokulova – a 39-year-old native of Uzbekistan – was working as a nanny, with some reports suggesting she was “drugged” as she held the head in her hands.
The victim is believed to be a four-year-old child she was looking after. She had also been caring for another child, but the parents had taken that child away before the incident.

Yulia Ivanova, a spokeswoman for Moscow’s Interior Ministry, said the suspect “had waited until the parents left with the older child, and for unknown reasons committed murder of the child, set the apartment on fire and left the scene of the crime.”
Authorities are not treating the incident as terror-related, despite the woman reportedly shouting “Allahu Akbar” and “I am a terrorist”.

The attendees at the local German town council are seething at their mayor after he berates them for not controlling their daughters around the “immigrants.” Some shout for him to step down.
