O.J. Simpson Confession? UPDATED-False?
Gateway Pundit has this:
OJ Simpson has reportedly confessed to killing his ex-wife in self-defense. The Daily Mail reported:
O.J Simpson has confessed to Oprah Winfrey that he murdered his former wife, it has been reported.
The talk show host made headlines recently saying that one of her regrets was never having got the shamed former sportsman to confess to the killing.
And it appears her wish may well have come true with reports Simpson has already told one of her producers in an interview from jail that he knifed ex-wife Nicole in self-defence – a confession he will now repeat to the talk show queen during a spectacular televised sit down interview.
Did Oprah’s wish come true?
Oprah’s representatives moved quickly to quash rumors that the talk show queen is conducting an interview with O.J. Simpson in which he confesses to murder.
The rumor raced around the Internet after the Daily Mail picked up a National Enquirer report that Simpson will admit to killing his late wife Nicole in a jailhouse interview.
But representatives for Harpo, Oprah’s company, flatly told the Hollywood Reporter, “that’s not true.”
However, it’s no secret that Oprah has been pining to do exactly this kind of interview. During an appearance at a cable convention earlier this month, she said that her dream is to have Simpson confess to her.
“And I am going to make that happen people,” she said. “I don’t just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson.”

California Loses to Texas
Texas became the USA’s second-largest economy during the past decade — displacing New York and perhaps heading one day toward challenging California — in one of the biggest economic shifts in the past half-century.
The dramatic realignment of the nation’s economy was illustrated by North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia all overtaking one-time industrial powerhouse Michigan in economic size from 2000 to 2010. The economic winners of the last decade are states that focus on raw materials, government and senior citizens. The big losers are places that make things — industrial states and even California.
USA TODAY examined each state’s gross domestic product to determine how the country’s economic output has shifted within its borders. The data, recently released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, reflect both population growth and income increases — in short, the economic weight of each state.
Texas notched one of the biggest increases in size in a half-century, surpassing $1 trillion in annual economic output. The state gained nearly a full percentage point in its share of the U.S. economy during the decade, reaching 8.3% in 2010. This growth in economic clout has been matched only twice in the past 50 years — by California in the 1980s and Texas itself during the 1970s oil boom.
“We’re growing faster than everyone else, and this trend should last a good while,” says economic forecaster Raymond Berryhill of Waco, Texas. His state enjoyed “good fortune and good planning” from having natural resources, immigration and successful technology businesses while avoiding the real estate bubble, he says.

Take note that Cynthia is a Marxist and Green Party presidential nominee. The Green Party is where Ron Paul sends his fans after he looses a Republican Presidential run, and even did a “documentary” with her via crazy 9/11 nutters from Prison Planet. (One of the reasons I cannot stand Ron Paul.)

Jon Stewart Is the One Who Is Consistently Wrong
Newsbusters has this correction of Jon Stewart:
There are certainly going to be a lot of very disappointed Jon Stewart fans when they hear the fact-checking folks over at PolitiFact found their hero to have been false when he accused Fox News watchers of being “the most consistently misinformed media viewers.”
Before we get there, here’s what NewsBusters’ Rich Noyes wrote on this subject just hours ago:
In his June 19 appearance on Fox News Sunday, Comedy Central’s Daily Show host Jon Stewart fiercely denounced the Fox News Channel as uniquely biased, and slammed those who watch Fox News as “the most consistently misinformed media viewers….Consistently — every poll.”
Unfortunately for Stewart, he was relying on a methodologically-flawed survey from the University of Maryland’s Program on International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) that in December trumpeted how “those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never watched it to believe….” and then listed a series of supposedly false statements.
PolitiFact strongly agreed with Noyes:
[W]e have three Pew studies that superficially rank Fox viewers low on the well-informed list, but in several of the surveys, Fox isn’t the lowest, and other general-interest media outlets — such as network news shows, network morning shows and even the other cable news networks — often score similarly low. Meanwhile, particular Fox shows — such as The O’Reilly Factor and Sean Hannity’s show — actually score consistently well, occasionally even outpacing Stewart’s own audience.
Meanwhile, the other set of knowledge surveys, from worldpublicopinion.org, offer mixed support for Stewart. The 2003 survey strikes us as pretty solid, but the 2010 survey has been critiqued for its methodology.
The way Stewart phrased the comment, it’s not enough to show a sliver of evidence that Fox News’ audience is ill-informed. The evidence needs to support the view that the data shows they are “consistently” misinformed — a term he used not once but three times. It’s simply not true that “every poll” shows that result. So we rate his claim False.
