A Dylann Roof “Mantra” Still Alive at CNN

NEWSBUSTERS has this conspiracy myth:

On Thursday’s At This Hour on CNN, Symone Sanders joined Angela Rye in the list of liberal CNN political commentators who have repeated a discredited myth that the gunman in the Charleston church massacre, Dylann Roof, was given special treatment by police before being incarcerated.

[….]

Sanders jumped in: “Okay, pardon me. Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, are we really going to … I really think it’s problematic here when we start to demonize the victims in these cases.”

She soon cited the debunked myth of Roof as evidence of special treatment received by white criminals as she soon added:

I’m not going it sit here and let you say that Alton Sterling was basically a criminal that was reaching for his gun and deserved to get shot because, guess what, the young man that shot and killed 17 people on a high school campus the other day, he was taken into custody alive. You know, Dylann Roof, who walked into a church and shot nine people, he was taken into custody alive and then was taken to Burger King to get a burger before they took him to jail.

So the problem here is, it seems at though when we have suspects or people who are engaged in situations with police officers that are a little bit more melanated than some of our counterparts, they seem to not make it out of the situations alive.

On Tuesday, Rye also repeated the claim about Burger King as she debated conservative CNN political commentator Ben Ferguson on the Alton Sterling case.

But, as documented by Snopes, Roof was not taken to Burger King by police. He was simply supplied with food from Burger King while he awaited transfer to a larger jail because the small jail where he was initially incarcerated did not have the facilities to supply with him in-house food, and the restaurant was nearby. If the liberals want to argue that prisoners should be denied food, that would make an interesting segment…….

Charleston Murders and the Left (The Killers Manifesto)

First and foremost. While I am slamming the left’s tendency to blame the right in almost EVERY shooting like this… politicizing the matter with renewed talks of gun control… I want every believer to say a short prayer for the Christian community in Charleston. The Holy Spirit is bringing people from diverse denominational backgrounds to exemplify the Body of Christ. THIS is most important.

I want you to realize the only people I know that step on the flag, are Leftists. BREITBART notes Roof’s hatred for Israel and America:

Roof began to become indoctrinated in white supremacist thought through the Council of Conservative Citizens, a group that has been condemned by the Republican National Committee for holding “racist and nationalist” views.

Through the Council of Conservative Citizens, Roof said he “found out about the Jewish problem and other issues facing our race.”

The mass-murderer starts by explaining that he has “the most real life experience” dealing with black people. “Ni—-rs are stupid and violent,” he said, before claiming that “Jewish agitation of the black race” is a reason why African-Americans act in a certain way.

“Segregation was not a bad thing,” he opined. “It existed to protect us from them,” Roof added in his revision of history.

For those detractors who may say that “the South is beyond saving,” Roof suggested that the policies of apartheid South Africa be implemented to take away the rights of black Americans.

The South Carolina native shared his Hitlerian viewpoint when it came to the Jews.

“I think that if we could somehow destroy the Jewish identity, then they wouldn’t cause much of a problem,” he said.

A guy that is a famous domestic terrorist, ghost writer of Obama’s book, and helped start Obama’s political career in his own house ~ also is seen here stepping on the flag:

Note as well that the “right” (typically veterans) stop abuse to flags:

I want to draw attention to a Gay Patriot post dealing with the Charleston murders:

The Democrat Media Narrative is that the Charleston Shootings were caused by guns, conservatism, and the Confederate flag; they have categorized the attack as “right-wing extremism.”

And yet…

From Stormdoor’s manifesto:

“I hate the sight of the American flag. Modern American patriotism is an absolute joke. People pretending like they have something to be proud while White people are being murdered daily in the streets. Many veterans believe we owe them something for “protecting our way of life” or “protecting our freedom”. But im not sure what way of life they are talking about.”

[…We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.”]

Change the word “White” to “Black” and he’s basically Melissa Harris-Perry or any other MSNBC host…

The Real McCain notes some other factors that may have contributed to the “snap” in this nut:

Let’s focus on the criminal:

According to classmates, Roof is a frequent abuser of prescription drugs.

Court records from Lexington, [South] Carolina — where he has been living in a trailer park — reveal he was arrested twice this year on charges of trespassing and drug possession. . . .
Roof used to skateboard in a Lexington suburb in South Carolina when he was younger and had long hair then.

Childhood friend Joey Meek had seen him as recently as Tuesday, said Meek’s mother, Kimberly Konzny….

‘I don’t know what was going through his head,’ Konzny said. ‘He was a really sweet kid. He was quiet. He only had a few friends.’Joey Meek alerted the FBI after he and his mother instantly recognized Roof in a surveillance camera image that was widely circulated after the shooting.

In the image, Roof had the same stained sweatshirt he wore whileplaying Xbox video games in their home recently, Konzny said. It was stained because he had worked at a landscaping and pest control business, she said.

Roof attended ninth grade at White Knoll High during the 2008-09 school year and went there for the first half of the following academic year, district spokeswoman Mary Beth Hill said. The school system gave no reason for Roof’s departure and said it had no record of him attending any other schools in the district.

According to CBS News, school records show that between fourth and ninth grade, Roof attended six different schools, and repeated the ninth grade.

He dropped out of school after ninth grade. His parents were divorced, and his father and stepmother also reportedly had divorced. According to the Wall Street Journal, Dylann’s father had been pressuring him to stop playing video games constantly, and to find steady employment….
