Dennis Prager recalls an old Jewish proverb from the Haggadah called, “The Four Sons.” In the telling Prager shares that only recently has he figured out why the proverb doesn’t have a “good son.” He notes that GODLY wisdom pre-dates and a good morality/ethic… of course a healthy “fear of God” is a prerequisite. I have rewritten Proverbs 16:6b with Proverbs 15:33 in mind:

➤ “And by humbly seeking Godly instruction [wisdom], we will depart from evil.”
