What is at discrepancy here  are the many Wether Underground — ground sites — reporting in versus wind speed taken from planes and doppler radar. Ahhh, like any other scare, I am going to go with the multiple weather stations on the ground/in the storm! (Story linked in graphic). In fact, the storm was sooo bad that it even caused streekers to come out and play.
