Comedians Bill Burr and Jim Jefferies slammed cancel culture in response to SNL firing its new cast member Shane Gillis over jokes GIllis made about Chinese people in the past.
After Shane Gillis was fired by Saturday Night Live over previous comments, former SNL comedians Rob Schneider and Norm McDonald stepped up to defend Shane. Even Bill Burr chimed in on “cancel culture” and how a bad joke shouldn’t ruin your life.
Star Wars Failing | A Female Thor (and More)
So between the failure of Solo, the divisiveness of The Last Jedi and the falling interest in Galaxy’s Edge, our good friends in the news media have concluded that Disney Star Wars isn’t doing too well. And I for one am shocked!
Great news! I was so pleased to learn that we’ll finally be getting what we all wanted in Marvel Phase 4 – a female Thor.
So I was excited to hear that talks between Sony and Marvel have broken down, and as a result there will be no more Spider-Man movies in the MCU. This can only be good news, right?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, what a truly incredible trainwreck. Rian Johnson’s complete inability to craft anything even resembling meaningful (or coherent) plotline is truly remarkable to behold. Six months out from this farce, let’s take a closer look at everything that went wrong.

Girls’ Civil Rights Violated By Trangender “Athlete”

The U.S. Department of Education Office has agreed to investigate a violation of girls’ civil rights in Connecticut following a complaint filed in Boston concerning two biologically male transgender teens triumphing over biologically female competitors in high school track.
“The U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights Wednesday granted the request of three teen track athletes to investigate their allegations of illegal discrimination,” The Alliance Defending Freedom announced in a press release sent to The Daily Wire.
“Ever since the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference [CIAC] adopted a policy that allows biological males who claim a female identity to compete in girls’ athletic events, boys have consistently deprived Selina Soule and two other female athletes of honors and opportunities to compete at elite levels,” the release noted.
ADF is representing the three athletes who filed the complaint in June.
The CIAC policy forced Soule to compete against female-identifying biological males in a high-stakes track competition where two transgender sprinters beat the field, taking first and second place by significant margins. Soule landed in 8th, missing an opportunity to compete in front of college coaches by two places.

“Forcing female athletes to compete against boys is grossly unfair and destroys their athletic opportunities,” she argued. “Title IX was designed to eliminate discrimination against women in education and athletics, and women fought long and hard to earn the equal athletic opportunities that Title IX provides. Allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports reverses nearly 50 years of advances for women under this law. We shouldn’t force these young women to be spectators in their own sports.”…….
Amazon Still Selling Book That Inspired El Paso Shooter? (Hypocrisy)
In a previous post detailing Amazon banning a “dangerous books” by a Catholic psychologist, Dr. Joseph Nicolosi’s books. and the attack on free speech and religion by the Egalitarian Left, we are now presented with a book that led a racist to kill! Mind you Mao’s “Little Red Book” is still for sale on Amazon, even though that led to over 40-million dead in just 4-years. Or the “Communist Manifesto,” which rounds in at well over 100-million dead with its influences. Dr. Joseph’s books have killed zero people, but led to some great insights in counseling.
Take note the shooter had “eco-fascist” ideas similar to the Unibomber (and Elizebeth Warren and Rober O’Rourke).
However, we are now presented with a conundrum at Amazon… an actual book that helped inspire a racist attack on Hispanics. Whet book you ask? NEWSBUSTERS lists the book:
You can’t buy a Confederate flag on Amazon, but you can read literature that helped inspire one of the deadliest shootings in the United States.
The Lorax, a children’s book by Dr. Seuss, was a recommended title in the El Paso shooter’s manifesto. In fact, it was the only title referenced in the entire four-page document. And while an Amazon user can’t buy guns or Confederate flags, the book is readily available.
That probably sounds ludicrous, banning a book because it was cited by a terrorist. But that’s the media mindset. Only they aren’t pressing Amazon over The Lorax.
USA Today wrote that “white supremacist ideologies” and “white power manifestos” are one click away on Amazon and Amazon products. The article never even referenced the only title mentioned in the manifesto.
The shooter stated, “Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources. This has been a problem for decades. For example, this phenomenon is brilliantly portrayed in the decades old classic The Lorax.”
Nothing is sacred. But if the media and tech platforms are so interested in taking down the inspirations for mass shootings and crimes, then why aren’t Jodie Foster films like Taxi Driver banned?
BTW, the father and his drug abuse and now New Age BS I am sure had a lot to do with the stability of this young man… more than Trump!
Amazon’s High-Tech Book Burning
Dennis Prager discusses Amazons attempt to silence freedom in banning Dr. Joseph Nicolosi’s books. The son of the author in question calls into the show. Maybe the updated edition to the book, “120 Banned Books,” can have a “Jeff Bezos” chapter. In fact, If Barnes and Noble were smart, they would have a “Jeff Bezos Box-Set” of banned books during “Banned Books Week.” At any rate, I find it fascinating that Freud was a book burned by Nazis in Germany, and now we have another psychologist’s work being burned. The attack on free speech by the Egalitarian Left since the New Left’s birth is now being “fast tracked” via the WWW. These groups of activists are essentially no different than the jack-boot brown shirts of pre-war Germany: shouting down those who they disagree with, violently attacking those who merely hold another opinion, banning books, and the like…..

I just wish to note that I am as conservative of an Evangelical as can be. I am a young-earth creationist, believe the Biblical when it self-ascribes literalness, etc., etc. In my extensive library is the Satanic Bible (LaVey), the Book of Laws (Crowley), most anti-creationist books, most books by atheists, the Communist Manifesto, Mao’s Red Book, Margaret Sanger’s “Pivot of Civilization,” etc., etc.
I also love to meet with like minded fellows and gals in political thought. These include gay men and women. Except all the gay men and women I know would not have wanted ANY book removed from Amazon. Why? Because they love liberty and our Founding principles. That’s why. And as a person who has over a lifetime spent shy of $39,000 on Amazon… taking my business to Barnes and Noble may be my best weapon.

Cultural Faux Pas – Black-Face (Larry Elder)
(43-minutes) Larry Elder was painting the Democrats and Hollywood types faces “embarrassed” last Thursday (2-7-19) regarding the story of Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring wearing “black-face” for themed parties when they were younger (see NATIONAL REVIEW). Obviously, the bigger story is how the media has ignored a governor calling for infanticide publicly, and instead, focusing on a “racial” issue (see WESTERN JOURNAL). This being said, no one else does a better job of calling out the hypocrisy on the Left than does the “Sage of South-Central,” Larry Elder. (See “Black People In ‘Whiteface’”)
I inserted quite a bit of video and pictures to “colorize” Larry’s audio. From Kurtis Blow’s appearance on Soul Train, to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tropic Thunder portrayal of a black man. I had to purchase the 1971 Valdez Is Coming in order to clip the portion the caller mentioned, to the 20/20 documentary on Mumia Abu Jamal (see CNS-NEWS). California Madness: Grammar Police Cannot Follow Own Rules
California knows no bounds when it comes to radical LGBT activism. On Thursday, State Senator and Senate Judiciary Committee chair Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) announced that only “gender neutral” pronouns will be permitted during committee hearings. (DAILY WIRE)
At one point California Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson says, “We are using what my grammar teacher would have heart attack over. We are using the phrase they. My grammar teacher’s long gone. And I won’t be hearing from her. If any of you.” She says it almost in the context that with the death of her grammar teacher, so too dies the old way of speaking. As if here grammar was the arbiter of the truth of grammar.
Term “Brainstorm” Banned
The thought police grow more dangerous by the year. Comedian and writer, Michael Loftus, jokes about banning “Brainstorm.” *This is a project that is impossible BTW, that is, political correctness [Newspeak]. (This is a truncated portion of a longer interview.) Here are a couple stories from UK papers:
- “A senior colonel attending a high-level meeting was reprimanded for using the phrase ‘brainstorming’ – because it was deemed offensive to sufferers of epilepsy.” (EXPRESS UK)
- “A spokesman for Tunbridge Wells Borough Council in Kent said: ‘We take diversity awareness very seriously. The majority of staff have taken part in training and been asked to use the term thought showers’.” (TELEGRAPH)
*California Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson, with committee approval, instituted new rules in the Senate Judiciary Committee she chairs that eliminated the use of gendered pronouns, like “he/him,” or “she, her.” Instead members are supposed to use “them/they.” Despite the change, the pronoun rules proved easier for Jackson to talk about in theory, than to actually put into practice.
Immediately after announcing the rules, Jackson started violating them; at least 14 times within 30 minutes.
