Why America’s Military Must Be Strong ~ Prager University (Historian Andrew Roberts)

(Prager U) If you yearn for world peace, then history and experience suggest that you should vigorously advocate for a strong American military. A weakened American military invites chaos. Renowned British historian, Andrew Roberts, explains.

Teacher Goes Bellige When Challenged with Constitution 101

(Via The Blaze) A woman who described herself as a teacher of the Constitution was caught on video clashing with members of a controversial Christian organization. Bradlee Dean, a figure TheBlaze has covered in the past, founded “You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International,” a ministry that delivers assemblies and speeches in public schools. Members of this organization recently engaged a woman in a contentious conversation — one that led her to physically attack the Christian activists.

The incident, which was captured on video and later released by the group, shows the volatile exchange that unfolded at a 7-11 gas station in Florida. The debate erupted as Dean’s ministry was apparently trying to nab support for the Bible and Christian values in public schools….

Belgium to Vote on Implementation of Sharia Law

Take note that the Muslim population supported socialist and progressive parties in Belgium previously. Why? Because the left pushes non-citizen voting and liberal immigration policies. This is important because in the report we find out that non-citizens (immigrants) can vote. In other words, Muslims USE liberal politicians to open the door to them, and then will slam it shut on freedom.

I will include my message to him on FaceBook, as, it will offer people here some resources as well:

Sen. Guillory. I loved your video. I would be honored if you read (no need to comment on it) my shorter post about my recent trip to Hawaii with the wife. I was only in one political discussion during the entire 14-day cruise, and I document the exchange in the hot-tub:

(UPDATED) Another IRS Official Gone, Admitted Targeting?

From Libertarian Republican:

What’s most interesting out of this news report, Paz is identified as being a D.C. employee. Earlier reports had her working out of the now infamous Cincinnati office. Was that an attempt early on by the Obama administration to fit the “rogue agents in Cincy” narrative?

[Reporter] Bringing this closer to D.C. That’s what’s key here…

And this key point just coming out from hngn.com, “IRS Scandal News: High Ranking Official Scrutinized ‘Tea Party’ Cases”:

Paz’s testimony directly refutes that of Elizabeth Hofacre, the IRS emerging issues coordinator in Cincinnati, who told investigators that she removed any progressive groups from lists that she was given since she was told to target conservative groups.

“I was tasked to do Tea Parties, and I wasn’t – I wasn’t equipped or set up to do anything else,” Hofacre told congressional investigators….

Via Gateway Pundit:

Holly Paz, an IRS senior supervisor in Washington DC admitted to targeting Tea Party groups seeking tax-exempt status. She was personally involved in scrutinizing up to 30 Tea Party applications. For twenty-seven months the Obama IRS refused to approve any Tea Party applications for tax-exempt status starting in March 2010. Paz was put on administrative leave as director of the rulings and agreements division, according to a memo distributed to staffers last week.

Breitbart mentions:

An IRS supervisor who oversaw over 200 agents in the Cincinnati office admitted that she personally reviewed applications from conservative and Tea Party groups for tax-exempt status…

[….]

According to ABC affiliate WCPO, Paz worked at the Cincinnati office as a manager while the “systematic scrutiny of conservative groups” occurred but now serves as “the director of the office rulings and agreements for the IRS in Washington, D.C.” Paz is a registered Democrat who donated $4,000 to the Obama campaign in 2008 and is currently on administrative leave, according to her lawyer…

[….]

Paz reportedly told investigators last month that she thought “Tea Party” was shorthand for all political groups, since the first case she reviewed in D.C. in 2010 happened to be a Tea Party case. According to USA Today, Paz told investigators that she thought “Tea Party” could refer to a liberal or conservative organization, just like “‘Coke’ is used as a generic term for soda” and people “refer to tissues as ‘Kleenex.'”

Yet Hofacre, the paper notes, “told investigators that she kicked out any progressive groups that other agents tried to put in with the Tea Party cases” and “understood the term to mean conservative or Republican groups.”

“I was tasked to do Tea Parties, and I wasn’t — I wasn’t equipped or set up to do anything else,” she reportedly told investigators. USA Today also found that IRS data showed “dozens of liberal groups received tax-exempt approval in the 27 months that Tea Party groups sat in limbo, even though the liberal groups were engaging in similar kids of activity.”

From USA Today:

….As applications from conservative groups sat in limbo, groups with liberal-sounding names had their applications approved in as little as nine months. With names including words like “Progress” or “Progressive,” the liberal groups applied for the same tax status and were engaged in the same kinds of activities as the conservative groups. They included:

  • Bus for Progress, a New Jersey non-profit that uses a red, white and blue bus to “drive the progressive change.” According to its website, its mission includes “support (for) progressive politicians with the courage to serve the people’s interests and make tough choices.” It got an IRS approval as a social welfare group in April 2011.
  • Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment says it fights against corporate welfare and for increasing the minimum wage. “It would be fair to say we’re on the progressive end of the spectrum,” said executive director Jeff Ordower. He said the group got tax-exempt status in September 2011 in just nine months after “a pretty simple, straightforward process.”
  • Progress Florida, granted tax-exempt status in January 2011, is lobbying the Florida Legislature to expand Medicaid under a provision of the Affordable Care Act, one of President Obama’s signature accomplishments. The group did not return phone calls. “We’re busy fighting to build a more progressive Florida and cannot take your call right now,” the group’s voice mail said.

Like the Tea Party groups, the liberal groups sought recognition as social welfare groups under Section 501(c)(4) of the tax code, based on activities like “citizen participation” or “voter education and registration.”

In a conference call with reporters last week, the IRS official responsible for granting tax-exempt status said that it was a mistake to subject Tea Party groups to additional scrutiny based solely on the organization’s name….

Syrian Rebels Massacre Entire Village ~ A Christian Village Of Course [Men, Women, and Children] (UPDATED)

Via Creeping Sharia:

According to the Assyrian International News Agency (AINA), forces of the Free Syrian Army massacred the village on May 27: “The armed rebels affiliated to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) raided the Christian-populated al-Duvair village in Reef (outskirts of) Homs near the border with Lebanon today and massacred all its civilian residents, including women and children. The Syrian army, however, intervened and killed tens of terrorists during heavy clashes which are still going on in al-Duvair village.”

Although the United States had opposed the involvement of the al-Qaeda-affiliated Nusra Front in the rebel coalition, it did not express such reservations in December when Obama lavished his praise on the coalition. As the New York Times reported at that time:

But Mr. Obama praised the opposition, known formally as the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, for what he said was its inclusiveness, its openness to various ethnic and religious groups, and its ties to local councils involved in the fighting against Mr. Assad’s security forces.

“At this point we have a well-organized-enough coalition — opposition coalition that is representative — that we can recognize them as the legitimate representative of Syrian people,” he said.…

The United States has played an active role behind the scenes in shaping the opposition, insisting that it be broadened and made more inclusive. But until Mr. Obama’s announcement, the United States had held off on formally recognizing the opposition, asserting that it wanted to use the lure of recognition to encourage the rebel leaders to flesh out their political structure and fill important posts.

Now Obama’s inclusive opposition has allegedly slaughtered the entire population of al-Duvair, which is the type of crime that the U.S. president has previously purported was sufficient reason for the people of Syria to rise up and overthrow their government. And the massacre is hardly an isolated incident; for example, only several weeks ago, rebels attacked the St. Elijah Orthodoxy monastery. As Voice of Russia reported on May 12: “The militants ransacked the cloister, destroyed the sanctuary, blew up the belfry and tore down the statue of St. Prophet Elijah who is equally revered in Syria by both Christians and Muslims, Syria’s SANA news agency reports, quoting the head of the monastery, hegumen Gadir Ibrahim. The hegumen believes the attack to be the work of foreign mercenaries.”

Revelation 6:10

When he ripped off the fifth seal, I saw the souls of those killed because they had held firm in their witness to the Word of God. They were gathered under the Altar, and cried out in loud prayers, “How long, Strong God, Holy and True? How long before you step in and avenge our murders?” Then each martyr was given a white robe and told to sit back and wait until the full number of martyrs was filled from among their servant companions and friends in the faith. (The Message)

[….]

They cried out with a loud voice: “Lord,[a] the One who is holy and true, how long until You judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?” (Holman Standard)

(Gateway Pundit) Sunni radicals bombed a women’s school bus in Quetta. Then they went to the hospital where they were treating survivors and bombed them again.

Sea Lion Pup Makes New Friends (Cute)

(The Blaze) Boater James Gilkinson was sailing with his niece when they picked up an unexpected passenger. They were just off the Southern California coast near Newport Beach when they spotted a sea lion pup swimming in the water. The little guy turned out to be quite friendly — and hopped onto the boat. He spent the next hour hanging out and cuddling up to Gilkinson. A longer video is here.

Government Bullies

(Via Moonbattery) This would be a good time to donate to a good organization:

Washington’s Public Disclosure Commission, which works to shut down political debate, is now seeking to drastically restrict free civil rights advocacy—advocacy that has guided our nation to live up to its ideals of freedom and justice. A first-of-its-kind legal battle over the agency’s actions is now raging in Washington state and will answer important questions about the limits of government power, the right of free speech and political participation, and the ability of civil rights advocates to represent their clients against a government agency when that agency is violating constitutionally enshrined rights.
