A second high-profile resignation of an Obama `green thug` ~ Gregory Jaczko

Washington Times:

“Testimony of his peers revealed that Mr. Jaczko is prone to ‘continued outbursts of abusive rage,’ ‘ranting at the staff,’ ‘raging verbal assault’ and inspiring panic attacks in subordinates, particularly women. This was on top of an inspector general’s report that mentioned staff complaints about Mr. Jaczko creating ‘an intimidating work environment.’ In the face of such evidence, Mr. Jaczko’s defense that he’s just ‘passionate about safety’ is pretty weak tea.”

Michelle Malkin writes,

…. The embattled chair of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission resigned this week. It’s a victory for Republican oversight on Capitol Hill, women and sound science. But it’s also a lesson in the futility of Bush-era bipartisanship. When you cut deals with bullies, it’s a timeless and bitter recipe for more bullying.

Reid connived to install Jaczko at the NRC to carry on their shared crusade against the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste facility in Nye County, Nev. Despite assurances that he would recuse himself, Jaczko proceeded to meddle aggressively in the issue. After the Obama administration named Jaczko chairman of the safety panel in 2009, all hell broke loose — and then some.

Out of fear that researchers would confirm positive safety data, Jaczko ordered NRC staff to halt a technical evaluation of Yucca Mountain. Then he used the lack of data to order a complete work stoppage on the long-obstructed project. Last summer, the NRC inspector general determined that Jaczko “strategically withheld” information from the rest of the panel, manipulated agendas and “was not forthcoming about his intent” to shut down Yucca by any means necessary.

He kept the panel in the dark on other matters, too. After the Fukushima meltdown in Japan, Jaczko ordered his staff to hoard safety findings and keep them from other commissioners while he made unilateral policy decisions against their will.

In the course of his investigation, the NRC inspector general heard from numerous commission staffers about Jaczko’s “unprofessional behavior” and outburst of anger that created an “intimidating workplace environment.” The report said Jaczko told investigators he “regretted” his temper tantrums. (Full report PDF here.)

Last fall, the entire commission sent an extraordinary letter to the White House expressing “grave concerns” about Jaczko the Jerk’s continued boorishness. “We believe that his actions and behavior are causing serious damage to this institution and are creating a chilled work environment at the NRC,” wrote NRC commissioners Kristine L. Svinicki (Republican), George Apostolakis (Democrat), William D. Magwood IV (Democrat) and William C. Ostendorff (Republican). Commission staff detailed how Jaczko’s “shaking angry” rage-fests caused at least one woman to cry and prompted Svinicki to have a staffer accompany her whenever she was in Jaczko’s presence.

As if being a data doctor, control freak and chauvinist pig weren’t enough, Jaczko added liar to his resume. Two weeks ago, Jaczko testified before Congress that he was unaware of any incidents in which he was accused of intimidating NRC staff. But internal GOP sources at NRC told Capitol Hill oversight staff that Jaczko personally had apologized to three female employees.

Where were all the Democratic femme-a-gogues who have spent the entire year braying about the GOP War on Women? Defending Reid’s sexist crony, of course. Democratic California Sen. Barbara Boxer blamed the nuclear industry and complained of a “witch hunt.”

Let there be no doubt: If Jaczko had been a Republican, Sen. Boxer, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sandra Fluke and Gloria Allred would be hosting anti-bullying conferences and workplace safety summit tours with his victims from now until November.

This is the description for the following video:

NRC Chairman Jaczko has been under fire since shortly aft the Fukishima nuclear disaster in 2011 when he declared an emergency and seized power from the other Commission members. He’s accused of tampering with reports, bullying and usurping powers outside of his purview as Chairman. This hearing was rebroadcast today May 21, 2012 but originally aired on Dec. 11, 2011

Some Updates To the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin Case (Plus: Homeland Security & Brinks Alarms Warning Against Hoodies)

NewsBusters give a quick update to the Zimmerman Case, I will add my updates on my now dated post after:

As time goes on, the hastily constructed second-degree murder case against George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin is continuing to collapse as more evidence formerly known only by the prosecution is released to the public.

The first is that Martin seems to have been less interested in running away from Zimmerman and more in bashing him, according to a witness interviewed by police within minutes of the shooting. But that’s not all:

Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit relates the discovery of video from Trayvon Martin’s YouTube account, removed at some point during the last month, that shows he was actually involved in some sort of underground “fight club.”

Also fatal to the prosecution’s case is the discovery that Martin had THC in his system […]

Despite the prosecution’s awareness of the autopsy reports and eyewitness testimony, they included none of it in their affidavit against Zimmerman.  Criminal lawyer and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, who has been beside himself ever since the Zimmerman charges were filed, writes in the New York Daily News that it’s time to drop the charges, but doubts State Attorney Angela Corey “will do the right thing,” because “until now, her actions have been anything but ethical, lawful, and professional.”

As Dershowitz points out, the evidence released in this case means Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law isn’t even a factor in Zimmerman’s defense.  Much political hay has been made out of this law, but if Zimmerman was on the ground getting beaten to a pulp, withdrawal from the encounter was physically impossible for him.  “A defendant, under Florida law, loses his ‘stand your ground’ defense if he provoked the encounter,” observes Dershowitz, “but he retains traditional self-defense if he reasonably believed his life was in danger and his only recourse was to employ deadly force.”

Does this mean Zimmerman won’t be convicted of some lesser offense? Not at all. But it does indicate the media’s earlier reporting which effectively smeared him as a racist murderer is starting to look more and more ridiculous.

The NY Daily News reports that the autopsy shows evidence of backing up the eyewitness accounts and Zimmerman’s own telling of the event that led to the shooting:

Autopsy results confirm that Trayvon Martin sustained injuries to his knuckles before he was gunned down in a Florida gated community.

The medical examiner found two injuries on Martin’s body: the fatal gunshot wound on his chest and broken skin on his knuckles, according to WFTV.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said the hand wounds could bolster the case of George Zimmerman, who claims he killed the unarmed 17-year-old in self-defense.

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN SUFFERED INJURIES AFTER ALLEGED SCUFFLE WITH TRAYVON MARTIN: REPORT

“It goes along with Zimmerman’s story that he acted in self-defense because he was getting beaten up by Trayvon Martin,” Sheaffer said.

Here is an update on the audio of Zimmerman supposedly saying “coon,” and a CNN reporters retraction from him previously stating it was a racial slur (via The Blaze):

And here is George Zimmerman’s father relaying portions of the story of that night that have yet to hit mainstream media:

And here is enhanced video showing the wounds to the back of Zimmerman’s head, that from more grainy film footage was said to be a fabrication:

Some Sharia `No-Go` Zones in Sweden ~ Dearborn Michigan Close

Libertarian Republican asks:

Editor’s comment – So how long before we start seeing scenes like this in Dearborn, Michigan, Minneapolis, northern New Jersey and parts of Philadelphia?

Luckily, we have guys fighting against these laws/zones I have posted about in the past (here, here, and here). The atheist Pat Condell says Sweden is lost, but we have areas becoming like this, as LR pointed out, Dearborn, Michigan.

These guys, preaching strongly/holding the front-lines, whips up the crowd in a way that Jesus did… where Jesus (and the apostles) were threatened with stoning — some even martyred in the throws of preaching:

Networks Target Mitt Romney`s Wealth 13 Times More Than Richer Sen. John Kerry

Via NewsBusters:

…From January to April 2004, the ABC and CBS evening news shows only mentioned Kerry’s wealth once each. And NBC didn’t mention Kerry’s finances or his wife’s wealth at all. Those same three networks have discussed Romney’s wealth a total of 27 times during the same time period in 2012. That’s more than 13 times more than the coverage given Kerry’s wealth (27 stories to 2 stories)…
