Crazy Liberal Sexual Agenda Front and Center Again

I didn’t want the responsibility, I wanted the sex. And so the easy way out was abortion. That’s what I thought. Just pay $300 and the problem goes away….  I thought if you just wanted to have sex just do it, what’s the big deal?  I didn’t realize how important sex was – that people die from sex, that people are born from sex, that hearts are broken and kingdoms fall to the ground as the result of sexual immorality.  I didn’t know any of that – all I knew was what I wanted.

….The Post goes on to report that even though the curriculum includes assignments such as these and refers students to a Columbia University website called “Go Ask Alice” — which details sexual positions, types of sex that don’t include intercourse and more — the Department of Education maintains it is promoting abstinence first.

The Times and the Post both report that parents have the “right” to opt their children out of lessons about contraception methods. An op-ed in The New York Times last week calls this opt-out “very limited” in terms of parental control. The op-ed contributors Robert P. George and Melissa Morchella state that it is undeniable the curriculum is “sexualizing children” a younger and younger ages and that mandates such as this “violate parents’ rights”:

But no one can plausibly claim that teaching middle-schoolers about mutual masturbation is “neutral” between competing views of morality; the idea of “value free” sex education was exploded as a myth long ago. The effect of such lessons is as much to promote a certain sexual ideology among the young as it is to protect their health.

But beyond rival moral visions, the new policy raises a deeper issue: Should the government force parents — at least those not rich enough to afford private schooling — to send their children to classes that may contradict their moral and religious values on matters of intimacy and personal conduct?

Unless a broader parental opt out is added, New York City’s new policies will continue to usurp parents’ just (and constitutionally recognized) authority. Turning a classroom into a mandatory catechism lesson for a contested ideology is a serious violation of parental rights, and citizens of every ideological hue should stand up and oppose it…..

Marco `Super Sic` Simoncelli Dead at 24

Nicknamed “Super Sic” and sporting a mop of curly hair, Simoncelli was predicted by many to be a future MotoGP world champion. He died a week after two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed in a 15-car accident in the Izod IndyCar Series finale at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Simoncelli lost control of his Honda at Turn 11 four minutes into the Malaysian MotoGP. After regaining partial grip, Simoncelli’s bike swerved across the track — and into the path of American Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi of Italy.

Oooops-Backfire! Lech Walesa Found Out the Truth About the Occupy Movement (In Actuality, These are Lech`s Sworn Enemies)

Nobel Peace Prize winner and leader of the Polish Solidarity Movement Lech Walesa announced that he will not be attending the Obama-endorsed Occupy Wall Street protests. This comes after he discovered the protests were organized by radical anarchists, Code Pink, the American Communist movement, jihadists, anti-Israel, socialist, and anti- free enterprise interests.

We suspected that the European news media had filtered out accurate information about the genesis of Occupy Wall Street (OWS).

When Walesa’s comments hit the AP wire last week, my team immediately reached out to our Polish contacts.  We made the point that the political themes of Occupy Wall Street may have started out with some of the principles that we share, but OWS themes were rapidly being morphed into anti-freedom and anti-liberty messages.  At the core is the want for a big, powerful central government to dominate the lives of individual citizens.

Using biggovernment.com plus other news sources, rapidly we painted an accurate picture of the groups training, leading, and organizing the “movement.” The movement is organized by anarchists, Code Pink, the American Communist movement, jihadists, anti-Israel, socialist, and anti- free enterprise interests. OWS folks are politically to the left of President Barack Obama. [Remember, President Walesa didn’t meet with Obama when he came to Poland to visit… and these people are more left than Obama!]

At the Lech Walesa Institute Foundation in Warsaw, they were thankful to receive this information.

Based on our discussion and intervention, President Walesa is not going to get involved with the OWS.  He is not comfortable with the “organizations” behind the movement.  It was not a difficult discussion.

The lifetime of good work exercised by President Walesa has lifted people around the world fighting tyranny.  Through the Lech Walesa Institute Foundation in Warsaw, Walesa has supported freedom and liberty around the world.  As a man primarily responsible for vanquishing communism in Poland, Walesa has a personal bent toward helping the underdog and the downtrodden.

This spring, when President Obama visited Poland, President Walesa refused to meet with him.

In January of 2010, Lech Walesa endorsed my campaign for Governor of Illinois and made national news when he forewarned… “America is sliding toward socialism.”
